The Rarity Excluder Potions enable pixpets to find rarer items/pixpet eggs. These potions, when used in tandem with others, limits the rarity of items/pixpets that can be found, up to rarity 33%. For example, a Grade 100 Pixpet Rarity Excluder Potion can be used to find legendaries such as Xeldron or Finngriff, but can also find pets such as Drax or Girafira.

However, one does not need a Grade 100 potion in order to achieve the highest possible player dictated rarity of hoardable pets. The lowest rarity above Rare(30%) is Normal(40%). A Sunobra egg has a rarity of 40%. A Grade 92 Pixpet Rarity Excluder Potion can find pets up to rarity 39%. This allows some leeway in terms of potion grade. Now, with the power of spreadsheets, you can easily find out exactly what rarity you can find with your potions!
