About Art Shops

    Here you can both offer your services as an artist and you can look for an artist.




General Art Shop Guidelines

    1. Accepted Currencies

      All art shops may only use on-site currencies, (PC, PPT, or tradable items) as currency for commissioning any creative works. Using real world currencies on-site is strictly forbidden!


    2. Art Shop Thread Limit and Thread Management

      You are allowed a maximum of two threads underneath the condition that both threads offer two very different options. For example, one thread would cover commissions, and another may handle adoptables for purchase.

      Categories are enabled on this board, so please use the proper category when handling your art shop. Set is to “Closed” when you are no longer taking commissions, and set it to “Open” when you are open to taking on commissions.

      Additionally, you may bump your art shop once a day, at a minimum of once every 24 hours. Any additional posts made will be considered spam.


    3. Art Shop Inactivity

      Threads that are inactive for two months or more will be removed from the board and the owner will be notified of its removal. Mods can be contacted at any time to return a thread if the owner wishes to revive their art shop.


    4. Acceptable Art Shop Content

      As per the site’s forum rules, all explicit, inappropriate, and hateful content is not permitted to be used on the forums. Please limit all content to a rating of PG or PG-13.


    5. Personalised Art Shop Rules

      In addition to these rules, art shops have the right to create additional rules for their own purposes that clients must follow as long as they stay within the guidelines of the art shop rules and the site’s forum rules.


Art Shop Etiquette

    1. Unfulfilled Commissions

      Under no circumstances should a commission or payment for one go unfulfilled! If you open up an art shop and take commissions, you are obligated to deliver those commissions. If you are a client who has requested a commission, you are obligated to pay the artist. However, if a situation arises where you can no longer fulfill your transactions, please take the appropriate steps to resolve them.

      If you are having issues resolving a situation, please contact a forum moderator via PM.


    2. Reference Usages

      Many artists will require a reference for their artwork to help achieve what the clients wants. However, you should be using references responsibly. If you are using a reference that does not rightfully belong to you and belongs to another artist -- please credit the original artist! If you are having trouble locating the original source, Google provides a reverse image search that should help locate it. Do not use references you are not authorized to use.

      Artists, in using a reference that a client has provided, please take care not to copy the reference exactly in your art, as that would be stealing another artist’s artwork and violates Rule 2.4 in the forums.


    3. Gallery Uploading

      As a reminder, the User Gallery is only for your own artworks. You may not upload the art you have commissioned to your User Gallery.


    4. Client Behavior

      If any art shop is experiencing questionable client behavior such as rudeness, pushiness, or insistent on requesting artwork you do not feel comfortable doing, please contact the forum moderators immediately. All art shop owners have the right to turn down any requests they deem unsuitable.
