Apologies for falling a little behind on this! I haven't really had the time to sit down on my computer and doodle and obviously this isn't something I can really quite do from my phone, but I'm back now! I'll be posting the two lost days after this because I think I'd die if I didn't have a Pixpet corresponding to every single day.

Significantly less impressive than their more mythical cousins. Easily mystified by even the mundane. Their only magical ability is to give objects a slight purple tinge. This cannot be undone.

Ah thanks! This batch turned out a little smaller and cuter than I'm usually wont to draw.. perhaps with their similarities you could consider them a trio of sorts.

Thanks everyone! Some of you might have noticed that in these past couple days, this thread has rocketed past the 100 likes threshold. Even knowing some of those likes are my own response to other users, I'm honestly grateful to have such a positive reaction to what I thought would just be a silly low key side project. I hope maybe this inspires people to doodle fake Pixpets of their own- I really haven't seen that many from other users, which surprises me!

With so many eyes on this thread, maybe I'll organize something people could participate in.. Not sure what, though. Until then, back to regularly scheduled posting.

Every single one has a unique pattern. The odds of finding one identical to another are estimated to be something like 1 in 4,294,967,295. Scientists factually describe the reasoning for this number as "esoteric" and "nerdy".

I do pretty much all my art in plain old MS Paint. It's what I've used since I was a little kid and I pretty much never stopped. When I'm done with a drawing I stick it in GIMP to get a transparent background and then select the dark outline, use Select > Grow, grow it by 3 px, and then fill in the selection with white on a background layer. While this is specific to GIMP, lots of art programs have tools to let you manipulate a selected area, so I'm sure an equivalent trick could be found on SAI, PS, etc etc. And as many do, when I'm done, I host my images in Imgur. I hope this gives some insight!

Nah, I just use an old beaten Wacom dfgskdfskhg. I've just practiced enough for smooth lines to come naturally, I find doodling long curvy lines to be really zen and relaxing. Most of these I do while watching youtube or something similar, I like to keep my hands busy.
