This is pretty self-explanatory; high scores should reset every now and then.

We already track top scores for pixpet interactions on a quarterly basis, so why not arcade games too? Scores can reset every month or maybe 3 months, and players can earn badges for placing in the high score board at the time of the reset. Maybe a bronze, silver, and gold high score badge for being place 1 2 or 3 at the time of the reset, or being in the top 3 All Time, with a diamond badge for being the All Time top score. You would only need to earn the diamond badge once; another player taking your score wouldn't remove the badge.

It would make sense only to give out badges at reset time, that way players are battling for the top position instead of getting badges for simply being faster with a low score. For the diamond badge, it would be awarded right away since that's already the best of the best.

The all time high score board should be different too in that each player should only have 1 score in it. That way it truly is the top 3 best on the site earning badges, instead of just the best player crushing everyone else like what would happen in the monthlies.

The last thing, though, is a change to PAT. For the purpose of high scores, it would make sense to allow players to send any amount of scores in the day. I'm not actually sure if this works already, but if you have 0 PAT and send a score that happens to get you in the top 100, it should put the score on the list, but not award any food pellets or PC. That way players can earn resources, but also send scores once they've earned the resources for the day.
