I have been waiting for this moment literally forever. You might say Alasdair and Vasuki have been doing all the hard work going out on hoards, but I’ve been here helping to take care of the house and garden so they wouldn’t have to worry about it. I’ve also been running our shop and learning my way around the marketplace to sell the things that they brought back. Honestly, though, my plants usually sold better than any of their useless trinkets. After several weeks of this, we could finally afford a gorgeous new house!
Then began the process of packing everything up and moving, which actually wasn’t that bad since we couldn’t fit much in the starter hut anyway. It was more difficult trying to rearrange our meager belongings in the larger house, and everything looks rather hideous right now. After all that work, though, I thought I would finally get my rightful slot and help us find some better decorations, but then our monthly delivery arrived. Among it was an Antabir egg, bring our egg total up to five. So Schnecco decided to place all our eggs first before letting me have my spot with Alasdair and Vasuki. Now I am really wishing that Alasdair didn't bring back that Pydeer egg the other day. He was so excited about finding it in the deep woods without any potions now that he is a mighty Kyagrowl, but that egg is in my space. Well, that one or the Antabir egg.
None of us can actually go anywhere right now anyway since we are almost out of food, but still, I worked so hard for this, and I remain shut out! Alasdair and Vasuki are holding a housewarming party of sorts, so maybe enough people will come and help the eggs hatch so one of them can hurry up and get out of my way.
There is technically no PixPet slot in the basement, but for now, that is where I live...
We meet again, journal. Macy just left again to do some more hoarding. Our owner just gave her an instant recover potion so she can go hoarding again right away. We’re currently making money to buy a bigger house since our owner’s getting tired of our current, old one. I once heard her say it looks like a barn from the outside, and I couldn’t agree less. She just sold some eggs and we made some good cash. The two other eggs (I forgot what kind they exactly were) Macy and I found from hoarding are still in the store and no one bid on them yet, but I think someone will eventually buy them, you never know. I heard we’re getting a new luck bungalow soon, and it’ll be on a small neighborhood (maybe I could ask our owner about getting a pool). But for now, we’ll just have to wait and make more money until we can afford the new house. See ya later, journal. ;)

Hey, uh, journal! ...I guess! I feel a bit silly.. writing like this, but, Roe recommended it, and I have nothing else to do...
Well, I'm apparently some sort of, big deal? Not that I'd want to call myself that? But it seems like it. I'm a Xeldron...
I half expected the paper to look at me oddly, heh.
Bunny said- well, she looked at me with a devilish grin, right after I was born!! She had a few friends over, one of which just looked like Bunny but with a masquerade mask, and they were all very kind and gave me a lot of nice snacks. The first pet I met was a massive fierce looking cat named Nyabigail, and she didn't seem to make heads or tails of me. Bunny said that she would take me on my first hoard, but then poured random liquids on us and suddenly everything was a blur. I came back with, apparently, a wall? I hope I didn't steal that from someone else's house...
After that, things slowed down a lot, and I got to meet my roommates. One is a big horned bear with the most disinterested face I've ever seen, and a pair of glasses. She's called Roe, and is really nice! Vermicelli is a Noo-Long and was... just a pleasant guy. He's a gardener, apparently.
Next there was King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard, a Troffinch and Igupunk who- well, they didn't make me feel like anything special, that's for sure... In fact, I'm not sure they noticed I'm here yet.
Then Orangoat. He's- er, well, I'm sure he's nice, but he's weeeeird! He keeps looking at me!
Anyway, they all seem to have some "little thing" about them... But I'm only just a big legendary dragon, no unique quirks or interests or anything! It's almost frustrating.
I hope living here, I'll someday find that little thing about me... *huff*
Hiya, journal! A lot's happened already. Well, first off, I've gotten really into this idol group... They're called Asteria ... My favorite member is Alcor! He's soooo cute!
Um, asides from that, Bunny's been totally weird lately. I was sitting in the living room, when I heard a loud shout and then she burst through the door. "YOU!!! You're yellow!!!" she yelled, and then pushed me outside with a few potions and a satchel of food. "GO FIND ONE!!!"
I had no idea what she meant by that, so... I only assumed she meant something super rare!! Luck was on my side, and I found... another Xeldron! I expected her to be really proud, so I hurried back home, and...
Erm, she just kind of cackled? Threateningly? And patted me on the head, took the egg away, and I chilled out for the rest of the day.
The day after that was very very BORING. Seriously, I know we have to conserve our food sometimes, but I'm dying over here, I think! So... I snuck out, and watched Asteria practice in their studio! I didn't meet them of course... their guards were super scary, and wouldn't stop eying me. I met another pet while I was there, a nice Velibolt. I didn't catch her name... but she was super kind and friendly! I hope we meet again...
Today, I was sent out again. Bunny eyed me carefully, but didn't tell me exactly what I was looking for! You won't believe this, but I found another Xeldron egg! Again! I don't know what's with these potions but, they're incredible!
Bunny wasn't too pleased, I don't think... She stared at it, and muttered "Another Selldron..." and left me alone.
I'd probably be doing better if she gave me any clue what I was supposed to be looking for!!!!
Eyes PixPet Writing Thread... I'm excited this finally happened! One day, I might make a thread to keep track of my PixPet family's adventures, but right now, work is keeping me so busy that I am not able to update frequently enough to justify it. PixPet is currently one of the few things keeping me sane.
In the meantime, Inanna has written about her long-awaited first times hoarding.

Now that I have finally been allowed to go on hoards, I’ve been very busy and very tired, so I haven’t been writing much. Hoarding really is more draining than it sounds, and the results aren’t always satisfying. But I keep on going, and each time, I still set out with hope, knowing that I am at least doing my part for our little family.
My first day was eventful, but not in the ways I had hoped.
Feb. 3, 2019, Part 1:
I had been looking so forward to my first hoard, but I did not expect to spend the entire time looking after a hatchling Velibolt. Liadan was the first to hatch of our five new eggs, in just over half a day. She was very curious about her surroundings, and it’s a good thing we didn’t have many belongings aside from plushies, or she probably would have broken them in the zealous way she examined everything. I barely kept her from scratching up the rose glass designer table. I don’t particularly care about most of the other stuff, but I am protective of that table.
Liadan had priority for one of our seven hoarding spots because she has not only one, but two evolutions, so I had to wait until the next egg, a Sunobra, hatched about 5 hours later. Like me, Suraj did not have an evolution, so since I had been waiting for over a month, and he had just hatched, I got his spot. This would give him some time to get used to the world, anyway, and he eventually curled himself around our Pydeer egg, where he would mostly remain for the next three days until it hatched.
Meanwhile, Liadan and I waited for visitors to come play and give us extra treats to fortify us for when we finally went out for the first time. A couple people dropped by and gave us carrots and tomatoes, which we didn’t particularly care for, but it was better than nothing. Liadan was beginning to get a little stir crazy by now, so even though we could have used one more treat, Schnecco finally just sent us out.
As soon as the door opened, the Velibolt zipped down the street, her clawed feet a blur. Schnecco said it reminded her of a roadrunner, whatever that is, and then told me to keep an eye on Liadan. I took off after her, but my four hooves could barely keep up with her two feet! I was out of breath before I knew it, and Liadan had already taken a turn and disappeared somewhere.
I slowed to a walk, enjoying the clip-clop of my hooves on the path, but wished I was free to go where I wanted, at whatever pace I wanted. Not seeing any trace of the Velibolt, I came to a halt and tilted my ears back and forth, listening for any sound that might tell me where she went. A rustling sound in someone else’s yard caught my attention, and I went over to investigate. To my relief, there was Liadan, but she was trying to pull a lucid evolvulus flower out of someone else’s flower pot. They must have left their gate open when they left on their latest hoard.
“Liadan, stop! That doesn’t belong to us!” I raced into the yard to put myself between the Velibolt and the flower pot.
“But it’s so pretty! I want to bring it home!”
Gently, I lowered my head and nudged her back a little. “We have to find something else to bring home that isn’t already owned by someone else.”
Liadan crossed her feathered arms defiantly. “But—”
Thwump! We both looked up at the sound of a door being flung open, and jumped back as a Bovitaur burst out. “What’s going on out here?? What are you doing??!”
He (or she, I really wasn’t sure as I felt that surge of adrenaline) lowered his head and pointed two curved horns menacingly at us. My own tiny horns, though sharp, were a joke compared to those.
“N-nothing,” my voice shook despite my greatest effort to remain calm, “s-sorry, we were just—”
“Do you know how long it’s taken for that thing to bloom?!” Without waiting for a response, the Bovitaur charged at us, head still lowered. Even Liadan had enough sense to perceive the danger and zipped out of the yard. I scampered right behind her, taking care to stay out of the way of her clawed heels and flailing tail, and gave the gate a hefty kick to slam it closed as we cleared it. A thunderous crash told me that the Bovitaur hadn’t stopped in time. I hope the gate wasn’t too damaged, as we had been the ones ultimately at fault for trespassing, but I didn’t stop to check.
Liadan was already several meters ahead of me, but after a few minutes, she slowed and then collapsed. I thought it had all finally been too much for her, but as I got closer, I realized she was laughing. I scowled at her, exasperated. “Do you even realize the danger you put us in?”
She kept on laughing, her beak clacking after each breath. “Yes! What even was that thing?”
I slowly let out my own breath. There seemed to be no fazing her. “Of all the yards you could have broken into, it had to be a Bovitaur’s.” This was not how I had envisioned my first hoard.
Liadan broke into a fresh bout of laughter, clapping her front claws together. Those things could probably do some serious damage if she wanted.
“It’s almost time to head back,” I sighed. “Looks like we’ll be going back empty handed. At least now there is an office that gives out Pixcoins to any PixPet that goes out on a hoard, just for trying.”
“Really?” The Velibolt had stopped laughing, but her eyes still sparkled with merriment.
“Yes. There didn’t used to be, but so many pets were getting discouraged by coming home with nothing, that this office was finally established. Alasdair told me it’s not far from our neighborhood, so let’s go.”
For once, Liadan obediently followed me. A Finngriff who worked at the Pixcoin office gave us each 4 Pixcoins, what appeared to be the standard for low level PixPets, and we walked the rest of the way home, a bit subdued now after that whole misadventure.
“Eh, that’s about what I expected,” said Schnecco as she took our measly Pixcoin offering. The high hopes I had harbored of bringing something substantial home after my first hoard had deflated, and I flopped onto a pile of plushies, trying not to show my disappointment.
Liadan meanwhile animatedly recounted everything that had just happened to Suraj, who was still wrapped around the Pydeer egg. Liadan’s version of the story was highly embellished, with tales of battling and taking down the Bovitaur with her bare claws, and the Sunobra justifiably just shook his head in disbelief.
Feb. 3, 2019, Part 2:
I was still recovering as Schnecco excitedly harvested lime pumpkins from our backyard, where an Antabir egg was slowly incubating. “Since Liadan hatched lime, I’m going to make a decorative item potion with the trinuts you found in that shop a few days ago,” Schnecco told me. “Maybe that will help her find one of those fruit bowls everyone is talking about.”
I just shrugged. As long as Liadan didn’t try to steal a fruit bowl from someone else, I didn’t care. We were about to go out on a second hoard together, and I was not looking forward to providing the constant supervision this Velibolt apparently needed. Vasuki and Alasdair were away on their usual long hoards, or I’d have asked one of them to watch over her. It was Alasdair’s fault that we even had her.
Liadan was currently shoveling food pellets into her beak in preparation, getting crumbs all over my precious table. I decided I had better nibble a bit myself before putting the rest in a satchel in case my appetite improved on the road. We were both only Level 2 now, so it wouldn’t be a long trip, but I didn’t feel like eating much right then. Schnecco began cooking some sapphire stew for the decorative item potion as she sent us off.
It turned out I should have eaten more before we left, as I spent most of the hoard running after Liadan trying to keep her out of strangers’ yards again. That or from trying to drink out of random discarded potion or liquid gem bottles.
“Lia, no! Lia, stop! Let’s go this way towards the forest...”
Unsurprisingly, we didn’t make it very far, and had to head back home with just a few Pixcoins once more.
The decorative item potion was still brewing after we had rested and it was time to head back out. I made sure to eat more pellets beforehand this time. Briefly, I thought about going my own way, leaving Liadan to whatever fate she decided to bring upon herself, but then thought better of it.
Liadan ran ahead as usual, trying to lose me at every turn. At one point she craned her neck back toward me. “You’re no fun, Inanna! I will find something this time.”
“Just make sure it’s legal!” I called after her, trying to catch my breath. I was really out of shape, cooped up as I had been for over a month. Still, after the last two trips, we could both go further now, and finally made it to the forest. Liadan at last managed to evade me between the trees. I made a halfhearted attempt to find her, but after a while grew too frustrated. I had wasted enough time on that troublemaker. Let her learn her own lessons.
Remembering Alasdair’s description of a clearing with a farm, I set off to find it, finally unencumbered. It took some searching, but there it was, just as he had said! I made a beeline for the pile of fertilizers, and helped myself to eight whole packs of plant quadruple harvest fertilizer. These should last us awhile. Giddy to have found something for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to also happen upon some liquid quartz on my way back. It wasn’t good quality—in fact it was a dull grade 27—but it was something, and I would take home anything at this point. One day, with more practice, I would be able to find higher quality ingredients like Vasuki and Alasdair, but this would have to do for now.
As I prepared to walk back home, I heard a cry from not too far away, and my heart leapt to my throat. Liadan! Maybe I shouldn’t have left that dinosaur creature on her own after all. I galloped toward the sound, taking care to keep my well-earned loot balanced on my back, which wasn’t easy. Just in case something dangerous lay ahead, I paused behind a tree and peered cautiously around the trunk.
There was Liadan, dancing around with a lime capsule between her wings. It didn’t look like anyone or anything was chasing her. I sighed and stepped out from behind the tree, narrowing my eyes. “You scared the pumpkins out of me.”
“I told you I’d find something!” she sang, ignoring my concern. “And I did it by myself, too!”
“Great, I also found something when I was finally by myself,” I grumbled.
Liadan dropped her capsule and ran toward me. I stumbled, the fertilizer and liquid quartz rolling off my back, but thankfully nothing broke. Liadan had wrapped my neck between her feathery arms, not in an attack, but in a hug. “Good job, Inanna! I guess we can go home now.”
“Yeah, I guess,” I replied, too stunned to say much else. We picked up our respective items and made our way back home while Liadan danced in circles around me, telling me about how she had battled an Ursufuzz to get the capsule. Like Suraj, I doubted most of her story, but wondered if she actually had seen an Ursufuzz. How did she even know what one was? It was more likely that an Ursufuzz had helped her find the capsule, as most were not the confrontational type.
When we got home Schnecco was as pleased as I expected with all the plant quadruple harvest fertilizers (while mostly ignoring the quartz), but they were outshined by Liadan’s lime capsule. As Schnecco opened it, our jaws dropped.
“It—it’s—it really is,” I muttered.
“You actually did it, Liadan! And I didn’t even have the chance to give you the potion!”
Liadan basked in the praise while we all stared at the fruit bowl. Even Suraj had left the Pydeer egg, slithering over to see what the commotion was about.
Without warning, a black shape fluttered over, picked up the bowl, and flew off with it.
“Wha--?” I glanced around, trying to make sense of what had just happened, but the shape had already flown out the front door. Had we been robbed?
“That’s Ramona,” Suraj informed us. “She just hatched a little while ago.”
We went over to the wide window where we could see a Tuxo in the front yard with her wings wrapped around the bowl, pecking at the fake fruit.
“She won’t break it, will she?” I wondered.
Liadan was already out the door, not to rescue the fruit bowl, it turned out, but to befriend her new feathered kin.
“We could probably sell that fruit bowl for a decent amount of Pixcoins, but I don’t think Ramona is going to give it up any time soon,” Schnecco smiled as she watched the Tuxo and Velibolt play together. I’m pretty sure she didn’t want to sell the fruit bowl anyway.
Today, someone named EnglishPhoenix came to my house today. Suddenly, a wheel with pictures of food on it appeared out of nowhere, and EnglishPhoenix spun it. The needle landed on a cupcake, and then the wheel disappeared and a cupcake materialized in their hand. They then threw the cupcake and shouted, "Fetch!", and I leaped to catch it in mouth and then swallowed it whole. "Good kitty," they said. I could tell that they were a very nice person, so I brushed against their leg and purred, hoping that the mysterious wheel would appear and I would get another treat. "Sorry, sweetheart, but I better get going," they said. I was sad about this, but I accepted it.
(Note to EnglishPhoenix: Thx so much for all the interactions! It means a lot to me.)
Cupid here! Today I just found the most awesomest thing ever! While I was on my hoard I heard a rustling sound coming from some group of bushes! Being the brave Pixpet I am, I immediately jumped into the bushes to find an egg! Come you believe it diary! The same species and everything! Well of course I brought it home to my mistress who decided to to keep it and now it chilling outside next to the pumpkin plant. I also found a table but that's SUPER boring in comparison so I won't talk about that as much. Right now Im resting so I write back when something interesting happens
(let me try my hand at this! English isn't my first language and I'm miserable with grammar, so sorry if anything sounds weird!)
Today we finally moved. Starcluster lifted hoarding duties off a few of us, although not me. I'm glad I can keep going out to search, but I don't think Jigsaw will take her new position well, she is a ball of energy, after all.
We have a lot of eggs waiting to get hatched, tho! I can hear someone else in the household giving Starcluster silly name ideas. I'll definitely help with training the hatchlings, just like I did with all the others.
I have to go! I see Starcluster giving a few of us food for hoarding! Maybe they'll send me out!
Today, Feathercreek sent me on a hoard... Not that it's special or anything. Having the noble role of a Starter Pet, I was always sent on hoards. Not gonna lie, but they're actually pretty fun. It's a time when I can be myself. Well, a few days ago I found a Ponyata egg, and it hatched. Y'know, the creature looks silly. All those colorful frills, and the smell! She smells like so may sweets, it burns the nose! I still don't understand why Feathercreek was so excited when I brought Candy-Cander home. Aren't I enough? Why can't we just enjoy the pats and balls and slobbery happiness in peace? Well anyway, we were sent on a hoard together. Come to admit it, the journey was pretty fun... just don't tell anyone, okay? Well, this time we decided to explore the fields. Maybe the annoying Ponyata would start smelling like a normal Pixpet after this. On the way, Candy-Cander found a spot where there was no grass and it seemed like the dirt was fresh. With the help of my (totally excellent) digging skills, we found some Pixcoins. Looks like some other hoarders had buried it for later and forgot about their stash. Well, finders keepers losers weepers! Candy-Cander seemed a bit anxious about taking the coins, but I talked her into it. We split the money: 8 PC for her, and 22 PC for me. After some arguments, I got persuaded by Candy-Cander to leave 10 Pixcoins behind, in case the Pixpet who his them would come back. So, we left with me only having 12 coins. Puny number, eh? But I don't want to be kicked in the rump by some kind of horse and pinata mix. We also found some items, which we carefully stuffed into the spare capsules that the Ponyata had with her. When we were finished, she took the magenta capsule and I took the rest - 2 blue ones and a neutral capsule, which had a handled plant pot inside. It looked pretty. Having so much stuff, we decided to head back home. I couldn't carry any more - the Pixcoins were in my mouth, and I was trying really hard to balance the balance the rest on my head and back. It was easy for Candy-Cander though, all she had to do was swallow everything, because, being part pinata, she could always just rip open. It didn't hurt her at all. Lucky. Well, on the way back, we found two pumpkin fertilizers in the bushes, and one of them was something that slowed the growing process down. What use was that? I quickened my pace. I didn't want anything else to carry. We were nearing home now. In the distance, I could even see the hazy form of our cozy Starter's Hut. It was small, but comfy. Just enough space for me, Feathercreek, and my love. But when Candy-Cander came, It became crowded. I shouldn't have taken her egg home that day... A gasp interrupted my thoughts. Behind me, I saw a magenta colored egg with some darker colored dots, cradled in the soft grass. A Fluffpaxa. I must have stepped over it without noticing. Gently picking it up, Candy-Cander stroked it with a hoof and stretched out her arms, giving the egg to me. I understood. She didn't want to cover the egg in spit by swallowing it. After sniffing it all over, I tried my best to stash it into my fur. The egg was heavy. With a start, I remembered Feathercreek's inventory. Our house was small, and we already had four eggs. A Rootax, a Nightshade Sunobra, an Antabir, a Feliphene.... And now a Fluffpaxa. Telling her to hurry, we went forward. I knew that Candy-Cander was also getting tired. After what felt like hours but was probably only five minutes, we came home. Feathercreek was kneeling over the pumpkin spots, probably planting something. When she saw us, she instantly ran over, cooing and making those weird human noises. She rummaged through my fur, finding the egg. Beaming now, she watched as I spit out the capsules and coins. Baring her teeth in an excited way (humans have weird ways of showing their feelings), she took me into her arms, carried me home, and gave me some bone-shaped treats. That was delicious. But instead of plopping onto my doggy bed, I trotted back out, watching as Candy-Cander purposely ripped open her side (which was made almost entirely of paper), and everything tumbled out. Fathercreek still looked nervous, because even though it would naturally grow back in an hour and she had done this many times, it was still unsettling to see a living being ripping themselves open. Candy-Cander lay on her side, panting, and slowly stood up, shaking herself. She would have to rest for an hour, but everything was okay.
While relegated to the Inventory, recently I heard that Pudding’s bought a lot of eggs off of the market. I wonder what she intends to do with them? Maybe they’ll hatch into something amazing!
Entry 3
The eggs hatched from a super potion! The poor things have been forced into a cycle of instantly returning from their hoard, instantly recovering, and going on a hoard. Maybe Pudding’s not as kind as I first thought. She’s been spending a lot of money on Super Potions.
Entry 4
Remember the Pixpets that hatched from the eggs? Well, they’re fully evolved now due to Pudding force-feeding them evobars. Turns out they had 2 evolutions instead of just one, meaning they bring home triple the PC! And if Pudding spent so much on Super Potions and evobar ingredients, that means she only bought the eggs in the first place because of their second evolution. What a gold digger!
Entry 5
Surprisingly, Pudding managed to save up enough money to buy a new house! And I’ve been allowed to live in it! …in the front yard, without any shelter. I’ve become quite close with the others. I’d definitely miss them if they went away. I wonder if they’d miss me if I left my uncaring owner? (Well, she does care about the others. But only because of their expertise at finding PC.)
Entry 6
That’s the last straw! I’m done with Pudding, done with the neglect, done with having to sleep outside. Maybe if I went on a hoard from which I would never return, then Pudding will care about me. Tomorrow, I’ll be leaving this loveless house for good!
Entry 7
After kissing my friends goodbye and packing up my things, I left to go on a hoard. Little does anyone know that I won’t be coming back! My adventure so far is going great. I haven’t been to the Pixpet Realm for so long that I’ve forgotten what it even looks like!
Entry 8
It’s been a strange past few days. I’ve been getting used to battling again. I’ve also found a few strange treasures: a coin, a board game, some attack scrolls.

I feel the need to start a journal after a few hoardings and adventuring. Today was like the other days, me and Chiharu collected some items for our human as much as we could carry. Somehow my sister got 3 different pixpet eggs while I got a bunch of seeds...but I'm glad for her, that I feel like she's going to get even better as time go on.

We moved the house! The new house is much bigger than the old one, and I get to be beside Chiharu! Best day so far, I really love the new decorations. Oh yeah...I had a face to face fight with strong pixpet in the adventure today, still, I managed to win! Can't wait to tell my sister

I don’t think anyone has ever taken me seriously. My family jokes that I’m so strange because Liadan the Velox dropped my egg on the way home from her hoard, which is totally something Liadan would do. Still, what’s so strange about being an optimist and wanting to be kind and helpful? It’s just my nature, but every once in a while I get the sense that others either find it suspicious or try to take advantage of me. I’ve just never let it bother me. I help where I can around the house, and don’t complain about the fact that Schnecco only ever lets me go hoarding around the winter holidays because I am the only one who can find indigo presents. It’s nice to at least have one little purpose I am recognized for.
Life had fallen into a steady routine until the portal to the Pixpet Realm opened just over a month ago. Of course Schnecco chose Alasdair to be the first one to explore it, seeing as he is our family’s founder and all. He really dragged his feet about it, though. Honestly, it was sad, seeing such a big cat be so nervous. I would have jumped at the opportunity just to try something new.
In the end, Alasdair reluctantly went through the portal, and we didn’t see him again for two weeks. With the way time works in the Pixpet Realm, four whole months had passed for him, and he was a changed Kyagrowl. Everyone could see it. He carried himself with much more confidence; his whole posture was taller and straighter, and he looked us all right in the eyes as he energetically recounted his adventures and showed off all the Vivid Pixpet eggs he had found and the new battle techniques he had learned. I had always thought of myself as a pacifist, but watching him, I really wanted to learn some new attack moves, too!
(Please note, the rest of this post contains Bloomfer Adventure spoilers and Adventure spoilers in general.)
To Adventure!
What piqued my interest the most, however, was when he mentioned that there was a particular field full of blossoms that only Bloomfers could explore further. Since it was not that far past the Entrance Gate to the Pixpet Realm, Schnecco told me I could go on the adventure next! I do not think she would have picked me otherwise. In any case, I thought I would fall over from excitement, but I got myself together and packed a bag with a few Adventure Egg, Health, Stamina and De-glitch potions that Alasdair had leftover from his own adventure. The Glitchness and Glitched Pixpets sounded a little worrisome, but if Alasdair could return in one piece, so could I. I also had the advantage of knowing what to expect, since I had listened very carefully to Alasdair’s stories.
There were a few Vivid Pixpet eggs that Alasdair had not managed to bring back because he had gotten too strong before he really knew what he was doing, and now he just knocked out those Glitched Pixpets before he had a chance to pour Adventure Egg Potions on them. My first order of business was to find those pets before I, too, got too strong. It bothered me a little that the first one was a fellow Bloomfer. Glitched Bloomfers are pathetically weak, and it was unnerving to battle what felt like my unfortunate cousins, but I turned one into an egg with little trouble.
The next one on the list was a Vivid Veemooth. I followed Alasdair’s directions to the little meadow near Unity Bridge at night, and found it without any trouble. The Veemooths were also pathetic, and I was already having a hard time not knocking them out before I could pour a potion on one. You know what isn’t pathetic, though? The Glitched Bovitaurs that come out in that meadow at Glitch Hour. Alasdair had failed to warn me about them because he had never seen one. I knew I was in over my head the moment it started charging at me. I ran as fast as I could, adrenaline pumping into my blood on overdrive, but it wasn’t enough. The Glitched Bovitaur—or rather, its horns—rammed into me full force. I’m pretty sure it sent me sailing through the air, but I don’t remember much more because I almost instantly blacked out.
I woke up a few hours later, dazed and bruised and thoroughly embarrassed. Alasdair hadn’t fainted once over the course of his entire adventure, and here I was just a couple days in already mucking things up. After a few minutes of psyching myself up through my pounding headache and pulsing pain that seemed to be everywhere, I got up and dragged myself back to the inn at the Forager’s Ferry Building to nurse my wounds and recover. It was hard to forget the look of concern and pity that Anton the Antabir gave me when I paid down the deposit for a room.
Thankfully, I healed quickly after some rest, and felt ready to face the world again. I waited until well after Glitch Hour to head back to the meadow and finally got one of the Adventure Egg Potions to work on a Vivid Veemooth. My mission complete, I was free to train to become stronger. I spent days on end battling Glitched Pixpets in the Forager Ferry’s Courtyard and the edge of the Barrow Woods, feeling much better about myself. I became good friends with Merchant Flora, a fellow Bloomfer who sold scrolls in the Courtyard, and once I became strong enough to learn the techniques from her scrolls, I felt I could take on anything and anyone. Now that I could leech the health from Glitched Pixpets through my new Drain Powder, I hardly needed to sleep!
Rude Awakenings
However, the lack of sleep started to get to me around the time I found the blossoming field Alasdair had told me about. I could see why it was meant for Bloomfers—the rainbow of flowers sprinkled all about drew me to it, and I couldn’t help but frolic around in the morning sun until drowsiness overcame me and I lay down for a nap upon the soft grass. There, I had the strangest dream that I am still not sure was entirely a dream, but it led me to a scroll with a technique that only Bloomfers could learn, passed on to me by the wistful mother of a Bloomfer who had long since disappeared and had probably become glitched. Everything really hit home at that moment. Even though I had been building my strength by battling against Glitched Pixpets for the last several days, the seriousness of the situation in the Pixpet Realm had somehow not impressed itself upon me until now. The dancing Bloomfer’s story haunted me, and I had the sense I was awakening to something like a zombie apocalypse. I shuddered, becoming more determined to help wherever I could and grow even stronger.
After finally making it into Pixpet City, my next task was to help with the situation in Haven in the Tundra Plains. Thanks to Alasdair, I was prepared for the grueling journey. He had been so terrified of Kamari only to be startled by how easy it had been to take him down. Once I made it to the obnoxious Pydeer’s secret hideout, I charged toward him, eager to do the same, but I was met with a fiercer opponent than expected. Not even my Drain Powder did much damage to him, and I’m sure I was at least double the adventure Alasdair had been when he had battled Kamari. I still managed to chip away at his health and defeat him in the end, but I had not been prepared to feel so winded afterwards.
When Glitched Alex and Goliath ambushed us only a short while later, I turned to Lin and asked if he felt he could take on the bigger one. The little canid knew some unexpected magic and seemed tougher than he looked, but he did not feel like he could handle Goliath, so I was stuck battling the Glitched Imprex in my already weakened state. After being trampled on multiple times, I was grateful for the Adventure Health Potions tucked away in my bag and just barely managed to survive the encounter.
I returned to Pixpet City triumphant but not nearly as certain of myself. It was in this state that I ran into a Vivid Kyagrowl looking for someone to duel. I had spent days training, after all, and was not one to run from a challenge, so I accepted his offer, if only to show myself that I was still a skilled fighter despite the difficult time I’d had at Scavenger’s Point. Yet, even though my adventure level was higher, the Vivid Kyagrowl was still much faster and stronger than me. I couldn’t drain his stamina faster than he could drain mine, and he wore me out, blinded me with the jewels on his head, and bested me. Head down, I gave him some of my pixcoins in defeat and ran off before he or anyone else could see me crying. Maybe adventuring wasn’t for me after all. If the battle with the Vivid Kyagrowl had taught me anything, it was that no matter how hard I trained, I would never be as strong as Alasdair.
Carrying On
I took refuge at the Pixpet Temple. Karma the Gonk found me weeping in a corner and asked if I wanted to meditate, but while it took my mind off things, I only felt even weaker afterwards. I just needed somewhere private to collect myself, so I got myself a standard room at the Pixpet City Grand Hotel even though it was a little costly even for the least expensive option there. After a couple days of moping and spending a morning helping a Shiboro paint a vandalized wall at the park, I felt ready to jump back into things. There were still lots of Pixpets I could help, and even if I would never be as strong as Alasdair, I could at least become as strong as I could possibly be.
For about a month, I wandered the realm, finding Glitched Pixpets to battle to increase my strength, often going days at a time without sleeping. At those times, I probably was acting crazy enough that others would have no trouble believing that my egg had been dropped before I hatched. Still, I really could feel myself getting stronger, and I had the presence of mind to take breaks to find places to meditate and treats to eat that would reduce my own skyrocketing glitchness. I did not want to become like these Pixpets; I wanted to help them.
I used the pixcoins I had earned from these countless battles to buy strong Adventure Health Potions and learned that even though the Pixpets who challenged me to duels were usually stronger and faster, as long as I was patient enough and had enough Health Potions, I could eventually wear them out and win. My confidence slowly returned, and during my travels I discovered new events that even Alasdair had missed.
The Final Battle!
Two and a half months in, I had found enough scrolls to learn all ten moves that I was able. I was almost at the maximum adventure level and had completed every quest except one. My last outstanding task was to defeat Briar, the Vivid Luputrix who was terrorizing the Barrow Woods. I had faced her once before. At the time, I had told Rose that I didn’t think I was strong enough, but the lonely little Canisqua insisted and led me over to the otherwise beautiful moonlit clearing where the ferocious Vivid Luputrix was waiting. My strongest attack didn’t even make a dent as she healed herself almost immediately and then pummeled me nearly unconscious with just two headbutts. I slunk away and did not return until I had trained myself to Adventure Level 93 and felt ready to face her again.
This second battle felt like it would never end. I may have gotten better in battle, but in all that time, Briar had also gotten even stronger! No matter how many times I hit her or how many Adventure Health Potions I drank, she always rejuvenated herself back to top health and I could not make any headway. After what felt like hours, she headbutted me harder than expected and I was forced to admit defeat again. Maybe I should just resign myself to this being the one battle I could not win.
To cheer myself up, I sought out the duelists around the Pixpet Realm again and won battle after draining battle until I reached Adventure Level 100. For the moment I was at the pinnacle, but it still bothered me that I had not defeated Briar, so I decided to challenge her one more time. Thinking of a way I could try to do things differently this time, I remembered an attack I had learned from Merchant Pete, a Parrogrine selling scrolls on Unity Bridge. “Chirp” sounded like a move more suited to birds, but I was able to make the high-pitched sound, too, and confuse opponents enough to reduce their accuracy. I would chirp at Briar so hard she wouldn’t know where I was and wouldn’t be able to touch me.
At first, it looked like it was working. I had drained her health down more than I had in either of my previous battles, but over 500 rounds in, my chirps were still not enough to reduce the frequency of her healing and we were at a stalemate. Worn out, I let her defeat me, finally ready to just give up and go home. We already had a Vivid Luputrix in the family now thanks to Alasdair, so there was no pressure on me to have to defeat Briar.
And yet, I still couldn’t let it go. I rested in Larry’s guest house until the next night, healing and practicing all my battle moves. There was one last one I had not tried, one that I had known innately when I had started on my adventures and then quickly replaced with newer, more exciting moves. I have always been loud and excitable, and everyone back home was constantly telling me to keep it down and speak more quietly, but yowling came naturally to me. I realized that yowling would not only increase my own attack strength, but it would decrease my opponent’s attack strength. It didn’t do any damage, but maybe it was just what I needed to get an edge over Briar.
I was right. The battle was still long and hard, but Briar’s headbutts waned in strength, and even the amount of health she regenerated when she tried to heal herself was less than before, giving me the opportunity to finally wear her down. The withering petals I tossed on her sapped her strength further, until she became as harmless as a puppy.
I had done it! I had woken her up from her rampage, and all my trouble felt worth it when I saw her reunited with Rose. Taking the bit of blue fur that had been ripped from her during our final fierce battle, I wound it around my wrist as a trophy to remind myself of what it had taken to reach this point at last. Just like the others, I had underestimated my own innate abilities. Never again. I am not the biggest or the strongest Pixpet, and I know I never will be, but I make up for it in cunning and tenacity. Like Alasdair, I have proven myself to myself, and that is what matters. I was foolhardy the first time I said it, but now I truly know that I am ready and able to take on anything.

I found a whole bunch of capsules today. And an egg! I have no idea what kind of egg it is though, but it seem rare...well, I hope my human like it! Anyways, I and Chiharu will be gone for some time. Our human is hunting for this egg of uh...Kinfire? Flame? Doesn't matter, well, apparently we won't be able to find it so it will be some times until we come back. Wish them luck, though!

I'm back home again! My sister is still on her vacation, though, but I'll see her soon enough. Anyways, I finally met with the Kinflame I talked about the last time! His name is Laika, and he look so cool, I'll tell you that! We went on a hoard together today, he's as good at sniffin' stuffs as being a great companion! I wish to go out together with him soon, it would be fun to introduce him to Chiharu and play together sometime.
Entry 10 (Warning: contains Adventure spoilers! Read at your own risk!)
It feels like it's been years since I last picked up the pen and wrote in this journal. So many things have happened since then. I have investigated the goings on at Haven, and detained the Pydeer behind them. He's such a drama queen! Nevertheless, I'm glad that no Pixpets will be intentionally glitched, ever again. Lin and his brother Quin are such wonderful Pixpets, I'm glad to have gotten to know them. But I'm not quite sure what to do next, after saving Haven from a cruel criminal. What shall I do with my life, now that my quest is complete?
Entry 11 (Minor Adventure spoilers)
I just don't know what to do with my life anymore. With Haven saved and Kamari behind bars, there isn't much left for me in the Pixpet Realm. While training in the Barrow Woods, I remembered my home, my friends Swiftfoot, Frostfang, Kesha, and Mythical, and how I loved them so. In spite of my former owner Pudding's gold-digger ways, I found myself pining for the good old days when Mythical and I would go hoarding together. I've been thinking about returning home, just to see my friends' faces again.
Entry 12 (spoilers end here)
I've made up my mind. It's been far too long since I last saw my friends, overheard Swiftfoot serenade Kesha, or had an intellectual chat with Starfeathers. It's time for me to call home, to return to where it all began. Perhaps my destiny lies not as a warrior in the Pixpet Realm, but as a fine hoarder in the human world.
Entry 13
As I made my way toward the wagons for the Bovitaur Express Service, I overheard a bit of conversation between a Royowl and a Bovitaur about a recent scientific discovery. Curious, I stayed for a moment to listen. The discovery in question was of small creatures that hatched from strange crystals. Eventually though, I continued on my way to the express. When the wagon arrived in Gateway City, there was quite a commotion surrounding a Shileo carrying what appeared to be a small black and red snail in its front paws. It seemed to be giving a speech. "They have been dubbed Pixpals, and it seems they're here to stay! The one I'm holding in my hands right now is called Smuail. This one is a fairly common one, but that doesn't detract from its beauty." In my haste to return home, I didn't stick around to hear the end of it, but I did pick up a newspaper about it for 25PC.
Entry 14
When I stepped through the portal and followed the path to my house, it was like I was a Feliphene again, returning from a hoard. But so many things had changed while I was away. Pudding was so overjoyed to see me that she hugged me while crying tears of joy, and let me into the house, instead of forcing me to stay outside. A sly grin of satisfaction crawled across my face as I noticed that my little plan worked. I also noticed, upon entering the house, that it was littered with small crystals. When I entered the backyard, Swiftfoot was gone, but Kesha was still there. She looked at me at first with suspicion, as though wondering if she was seeing properly, then with joy as she picked me up and embraced me. "We all thought you were a goner, Josie," she sobbed. "How'd you get these scars?" I replied with, "Well, sit down, gather round, and I'll tell you the story of my life." She gathered the others, though Starfeathers was the only one I recognized, and the only one who recognized me. The others were strangers to me, and looked at me, Starfeathers, and Kesha confusedly. After I finished telling the tale, they all looked at me with a mixture of shock and admiration.
Entry 15
One morning after I finished breakfast, Pudding came up to me carrying a long curved rock in her hands that resembled a miniature version of one of my fangs. "Here's a gift for you, just for returning, a little pixinyte that will hatch into a purr-fect companion for you," she chirped as she gave it to me. I didn't understand why she drawled on the first syllable of "perfect," but I didn't care. I was just happy to see that she was less of a gold-digger. "Take good care of it!" were the the words she uttered to me as I placed the crystal in the pouch I carry my belongings in.
I knew the pup was full of potential from the moment he hatched. The one who found his egg, a vivid Taffyglider I rescued from glitchness during a trip to the jungle, was a wonderful hoarder. It seemed his destiny did not lie in being a hoarder, though, as he lagged behind the others in his endeavors. But he was fierce, and had a fiery spirit beneath his joyful demeanor. So, I took him in as my student in battling.
