I've just did some egg hatch help on the lottery page and then received and error, that I couldn't receive the seed(s) because my inventory is full without any warning beforehand.

I can't provide a screenshot because I've already hit F5, thinking it was one of these annoying "You've tried to submit the form twice"-errors and when I've realized it, it was already too late.

Unfortunately I can't even redo or undo it, so its quite a waste.

Well, at least a warning beforehand would be helpful.

In general, talking about the inventory limit, it is somewhat broken.

While @Stadler didn't receive any warning for the Egg Hatch Help , you can easily exceed the limit from buying items from the Usershop.

As seen here, I have exceeded the item inventory space. It seems like the game doesn't test if your item space is all used up when buying an Item from a Usershop.

I don't know if Brewing, Refining, Baking and Auctions are affected by this too, gonna test this as soon as possible.

There is now a warning displayed if the inventory is full. Also, there has been a small bug where it was possible to buy items with inventory full. Should be fixed now!

I assume, that the market including the pixpet market is still ignoring the limits? If not, then I suggest that.

The auction markets do display a warning and follow the limits. :)

So, if you win an auction while your inventory is full, the item/egg is lost?

Yes.
Same will happen if your Inventory is full and a auction of yours has failed. The items won't return in your inventory. Instead, they get destroyed.

Should I open a new thread for that as well? Since this is by all means a bug, that should be fixed.

[Edit:]A put item/egg in inventory button could work as well. Should work like the following: If theres room in your inventory, the item/egg would automatically be placed in your inventory. If its full, it will be moved into some kind of 'market stash'. There you might choose to put them into your inventory or destroy them. As long as your stash has items in it, you can't use the market anymore unless you've emptied it.

The auction behavior is not a bug, but intended. There is a warning present and it is supposed to encourage people to keep room in their inventory. I think your suggestion overcomplicates things a bit too much and in the end it is simply an artificial extension of the inventory to some degree.

I would prefer to solve this in a different approach, by giving users the option to extend their inventory space. There are actually plans how to implement this, but they are not quite ready and I'm not sure if this option will be added before the games release.

The problem I have with it is for example the following rare case:
Assume a player has 99/100 pixpets in his inventory.
Along with that he has placed a bid of 1000 PC on an, let's say Albino Xeldron Egg, which will be the highest bid in the end.
In his lunch break and 2 hours before the auction ends one of his PPs returns from a hoard with an egg. He puts it into his PP inventory and returns back to work not realizing, that his PP inventory is now full.
Returning home from work 3 hours later and back on his PC he reads, that he has own the auction. Happily looking through his PP inventory he finds ... no Albino Xeldron Egg. As a result he complains to you, that due to a bug he didn't receive the egg.

And now its up to you telling him, that you won't return the egg and that its all his fault, that he didn't free up space in his PP inventory before the auction ended. Have fun!

Conclusion:
Its kinda obvious that such a scenario should and can be avoided as much as possible but never 100%. And there are race conditions, where a player clicks add to inventory the same time an auction ends.
My suggestion would be to allow an overfilled pixpet and/or item inventory for those rare cases but block any other player action involving the corresponding inventory (e. g. no more send to hoard and can't move any PP) until he removes/discards a couple items/eggs.

[Edit:]PS: I don't intend to point a finger at you. I just want to avoid the frustration that might be result of such a rare case. So don't feel offended though I'm being a bit sarcastic and nitpicky about a potentially rare case here.

I understand your concerns but there are warnings present at any page to prevent this. Forbidding hoards just because the item or pixpet inventory is full seem a bit overkill. As I said, ways to expand and organize the item inventory will be added pretty soon.
