Hi Friends!

We've reached the end of another month. Sadly the update is another short one as staff members are still unwell. (pretty much everyone except artists, so we're just working on art assets in the meantime.)

We're still working on a few finishing touches for the new pixpals coming out so they should be released sometime in the upcoming week.

We will start the next round of contests and you'll have all month to take part. patchmaker still unwell so probably won't be able to make new patches for awhile.
The grand prize this time will be an animated treehouse on a tree straight from the Jungle of Sweetness.


Come up with a design for your dream pixpal based on one of these shadows, it is important to note that pixpals come in colorations of 3, so if you have an idea for a theme, go nuts and most of all HAVE FUN. ;)


You do not need to be good at art, just have fun expressing yourself and your idea.
You do not need to pixelate your designs as this is merely conceptual.
Do describe your idea clearly if you're unable to draw it out to give us a better idea of what you're trying to convey. Try simple doodles.

-Anyone can participate (except judges kek)
-No entering traced or stolen art
-All art must be created by yourself, no using F2U or P2U bases
-Entries will be vetted for plagiarism during judging phase, will be disqualified if found to be doing so.
-No use of downloaded textures or clipart
-Scoring is not weighted on how well you draw, your ideas is where it's at.
-You may submit more than 1 design, but will only be awarded for 1 if you win.
-Disclaimer: Please be aware that by entering the contest that the final product is property of pixpet.net. You will however be credited for your creation should you win.

Entries submitted to the wrong place will not be valid.
Late entries wil not be entertained.

Winners will be announced in news & contacted privately as well to arrange for shipping.

Winner : Tree House+ 150 PPT + 15,000 PC (value $30), Pixpals will be redrawn by site artist and become an official design.
Runner Up : Tree House+ 70 PPT + 5,000 PC (value $20)

I am wondering the same question as Minaline. Are we able to use the shadow base and then work from designing the features off of the the shadow? The program I use for artwork works off of multiple layers with the end the merging of all the layers to make the finished image.

-Going off of BK47 comment, having just the outline with everything inside the shadow as white texture would save a lot of time in the making of the art.

Yup, that's totally fine, the shadows serve as inspiration, its okay if the final deviates a little as long as we can see that it's mostly retaining the shadow's shape and form with slight differences.

I'm assuming we're only allowed to submit for one of the shadows?
