What's this? The contest just ended a couple days ago and we already have the results? That's right, I somehow managed to catch the other judges while they weren't busy!

We've carefully considered each submission, and we hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results!

If you didn't win this time, don't worry! There will be more contests in the near future! And...you never know, sometimes we lay awake at night regretting that we didn't choose your submission, so you might get a surprise!

What Happens Next:

Over the next few days, we'll begin awarding the promised prizes (including the prize for all participants -- don't let us forget!). It'll take time to finalize and implement the winning pixpals, so those will be awarded later as they're released. I (BK) or Cherche will post in this thread again when all the initial prizes have been awarded, so if you didn't receive your prizes, please let us know after we make that post!

A Note from BK:

This is something that I didn't explain very well in previous pixpal contests, so I just want to be as transparent as possible!

When I'm in the process of finalizing a contest design to be put in the game, I often redraw and/or modify the design. There are a few reasons that I do this:

I don't want players to feel like we're using contests to make them do our work for us, so I put my own effort into reimagining each design, rather than just copying it. I do realize this runs the risk of destroying a design rather than improving it, and I'm always open to feedback in that regard! Because of course I want the designs to be recognizable to the players who made them -- otherwise what was the point of the contest?!

One drawback of art contests is that they remove the element of surprise for any new content that comes from them, so I try to inject something new into each pixpal so that players have something to discover.

Not all contest submissions initially fit the look and feel of the other pixpals, so even if I change nothing about the design itself, chances are I'll still redraw it to fit the pixpal style.

Knowing this, I hope it will make some sense when you see your finalized pixpal looking a little different!

Small update on prize distribution:

Winners have been awarded currencies and badges! If you're unsure whether you received them, they should show up in your PC/PPT logs as "Added by Mod/Admin" (you may have to scroll to find them). The contest badge should show up on your badge page also. If you believe you didn't receive these prizes, or even received the wrong prizes, please ping me and I'll look into it for you asap!

The prize for all participants (+10 pixpal inventory slots) is taking a little longer than expected because it's not as simple as I thought. 😅 Cherche has also been having frequent power outages in her area due to bad weather, so she hasn't had a chance to look into this. We haven't forgotten about it though, so stay tuned!

When you each have the time, I'd be grateful if you can provide your current price for pixpal inventory slots. This can be found by going to your pixcoin page and looking to the left of the "Expand Pixpal Inventory" button. All I need to know is the current price shown there. You can either reply in this thread or via PM, or even via Discord dms if you prefer.
