As I've cracked open some delidove pixinytes I've been identifying their parallels. Just got the last variant today so I'd like to share + double check if anyone here's more knowledgeable on pigeons/doves. (they're the same thing.)


blue is pretty obviously based on the victoria crowned pigeon
lime is the male pink-necked green pigeon- although the colours in the real thing aren't quite as vivid .
brown looks like the tawitawi brown dove, but I'm not super sure! this one departed from the original colouration a bit but even checking that one didn't bring much clarity. caribbean dove mmaaaybe?
white is the nun pigeon, one of those domesticated/bred species.
gray hiii rock dove... any citygoers probably recognize this one easily
magenta's not a real dove. there just aren't many animals naturally magenta coloured. I named mine after the white-tipped dove from their very cute pink talons. the original version was a classic release dove, which is just a normal rock dove with some varied colourations. don't get me started on rock dove pattern and colour variations.

this pixpet's the bird I've most obviously noticed has equivalents, but I know the others have some (yellow pikiwiki budgie, green flitterwing... ruby-throated hummingbird?)
very happy this site has birds. although I can't believe there's no mourning dove.
