I was just thinking, since there are now several Pixpets that only come out during certain seasons, maybe we could have an indicator somewhere on the top bar of the game, or wherever, where it shows what season is currently active, and perhaps how many days are left? Just a thought.

I love this idea and I think it's doable. I'll be transparent though, I try to think of ways to do things without the help of the coder because at this point it's safe to assume that there won't be any coding updates in the near future. Without going into too much detail, Pixpet has been suffering from Indie Game Syndrome for a while; basically we don't have enough funds to do much other than art content.

Having said that, the way that I think I could implement your idea is by making more seasonal site themes (since we only have Winter and Halloween currently) and putting the start/end dates in the banner image at the top of the site. I just need to ask Komodo for the CSS template to play with. If I can get permission to do this, would it be an acceptable substitute?

Edit: Also just to mention here, Pixpet's summer season started today and will end on September 22. I've been doing the season changes for a while and I just go by the northern hemisphere seasons to make it easy on myself. I hope that helps a bit in terms of knowing when seasons start/end on the site.
