Baluna's Biscuits Basics
Baluna's Biscuits is a fairly simple match-3, with a couple play options.

Easy/normal/hard mode give you a limited number of moves and goals of destroying X amount of specific tiles. We're gonna ignore those though.

Time Attack is the mode you want to play to get high scores.

How Time Attack Works

• You have 60 seconds to match as many tiles as you can


• If there are no matches, the tiles will reshuffle (this lags a bit but the timer keeps going, try to avoid it if possible)


• If you match more than 3 tiles, you get a powerup tile from the combo - these are KEY to the strategy

Powerup Tiles
Bird

You get these from connecting 4 tiles.
The bird will fly in the direction of the line you connected (up/down for vertical, left/right for horizontal) and clear the row or column.

Cupcake

You get these from connecting 5 tiles.
The cupcake will poof all of whatever tile type you swap it with (so choose wisely! You can use this one to get a lot of points, or set up another combo)

Bomb

You get these from connecting tiles in an L or T shape.
The bomb will blow up all tiles in a 3-by-3 square around it (don't move it closer to a wall to use it! It will reduce the effective range)

Powerup Combos
Now that you know the powerups, lets talk about combining them.

Bird + Bird
Combining two birds makes the birds fly in different directions (regardless of what way they are facing), clearing the row and column.

Bird + Cupcake
Combing a bird and a cupcake will randomly spawn a bunch of bird tiles all over the board.

Bird + Bomb
Combining a bird and a bomb will make the bird clear 3 rows or columns in the direction it flies (be sure not to use this next to a wall, it will only clear the 2 rows/columns closest to the wall if you do!)

Cupcake + Bomb
Combing a cupcake and a bomb will randomly spawn a bunch of bomb tiles all over the board.

Bomb + Bomb
Combining two bombs expands the explosion radius, destroying a ton of tiles.

Cupcake + Cupcake
Combining two cupcakes will clear the board (excluding any other powerup tiles on the board, which will activate after).

The Strategy
Now that you know all that, the strat is simple!

Just use your powerup tiles immediately.
Do not wait for combos, do not try to optimize.
Why? Because powerup tiles pause the timer.
Pause the timer as often as you can.

Note: I haven't actually tried playing the other modes much, if you can score high on them please correct me! Everyone I've asked seems to cap out before 10k though.
