Honestly I just last minute throw together a bunch of sounds/letters, think "hmm, that sounds pretty cool and fantasy-esque" and then just use that lol

Vetos was named after a Zora OC that I designed for a Legend of Zelda D&D based game that myself and a few friends were playing. I don't know how I got the idea to name a dragon Vetos but... here we are. I think it's the fact that he was a Warlock, had his own personal pet Dark Argorok and also because his colors were sorta like the Drak sprite here so... XD


Argus made me think of the Draenei and the little Argy pet in World of Warcraft. Thus, I had to name it after the Space Goats of the game and just the fallen Titan from the raid because well reasons


Another pet named after another OC of mine, this time a Volcarona OC of mine. Nothing really to say beyond I named a moth looking pet after a moth pokemon OC lol


Minh here was named after my wife's Zora OC and I'm pretty sure the logic behind that was this little critter looked a lot like an aquatic pet of sorts. So the name stuck and I couldn't think of anything else so XD


Completely random name is completely random, I don't even know where I came up with it I just typed something and I guess it fit? XD

Honestly, it's now an accidental theme. Chicago, my Unicubb, was named that because of my love of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Decided to go with a place theme when I got my Albino Xeldron and named them Dells, after the Wisconsin Dells.

I named mine based on a roleplay I’m in :)

My Troffinch is Pointy because she is.

My Noo-Long is Banhpho because I was following the noodle-naming scheme in beta, and "bánh phở" means rice noodle in Vietnamese.

My Ursufuzz is Conejito because I asked in the Discord what to name him, and Bunny jokingly (?) suggested "little bunny", so I chose the Spanish word for that!

My Veemooth is Bolivia because she's a bovine and I like the name Olivia.

My Pydeer is Pretzel because why not.

ive always enjoyed mythological names, so my first pet, a canisqua, is named lupa!

CubiCorn is based on PuppyCorn from the show Unikitty

Tina is named after a cat I had that wasn’t too bright. She’s in a new home (not because she wasn’t very bright. It’s because I had 3 cats and had to downgrade a kitty) but here’s a way to preserve the memory of having her :P Besides the like 15 images I have of her.

I’ve got Lucinda the Tuxo
It was either Lucifer or Lucinda tbh depending on what she hatched as. It spawned because I’ve been watching too much Lucifer lately and obviously fancy tuxedo means Luci. I would have never thought of Lucinda had I not seen one of the latest episodes where he said the name though :P

Named after the creator of JP or Steven Stone, the collector of rare stones from pokemon? YOU WILL NEVER KNOW! It could be either tbh.
