I've assumed (from the pumpkins) we make a kind of extruded pellet like we may give to our real-life pets as a staple, the lottery plays being the daily extras you give them!! Alternatively, wouldn't it be fun if you could craft/hoard find an item like, say, a 'pumkpin pie' which would allow you to send your pet on a hoard by feeding it that item instead of the standard food pellets in 'x' amount?

I'm probably gonna go pretty classic as far as my own OC pets go, with my igu/indigoat eating veg, drax/sunobra eating meat... Mobath seems like they'd eat fruit and bugs!! hehe

I like to imagine all the lottery food (the liked ones) are just treats since almost all the items pixpets approve of seem to be junk food save for some exceptions, like the mandrake, so of course they'd take those over icky vegetables!! (I kid, I like my veggies, but it just reminds me of a parent trying to make their 5 year old eat their broccoli or something)

I feel like pixpets are kinda in that (older) pokemon territory where them eating each other is implied, but never outright said and all creatures are just omni/herbivorous for those reasons bc who wants to see a sylveon eating a pikachu... (but it's most likely for simplicity sake for hoards, otherwise it would probably be like Flight Rising where you have to gather all the food for certain dragon diets, like plants, seafood, insects, and meat, and probably inevitably lag behind in at least one or two of those groups when you realize you have more insect eaters than the other diets....)

but i agree with senti about pellets basically being their kibble, and do I love the idea of cooking up goods for my pixpets! idk why, but i always liked crafting in games, esp if its food related. but what I really wanna know is, what do some of the game original fruits/plants taste like, like voxel fruit...

The Pixpet Lottery makes me think that all pixpets' diets are that of bratty children, lol

Though, my Ursufuzz in particular eats stars and bubblegum because that's the diet of a Mary Sue.

That made me laugh! Pixpet food as cereal, hmm... I imagine it’s not only quite easy to produce many kinds of foods but also required given the diverse nature of Pixpets. There are many ways to process pumpkin, so a pumpkin-cinnamon cereal sorta like Apple Jacks isn’t out of the question! Would they eat it with almond milk then? This is making me so hungry...

Hmmm, I mean, some of them seem more suited to meat, I mean my finch's evo is a predatory bird type, there's a cobra and crocodile. Didn't some of the pixdeck entries list some of them as eating other pixpets, or having abilities that helped hide or escape predation?

I might be getting this mixed up with entries from pokemon Moon honestly, having played that recently.
