There's still a whole month of summer left, so we've got some new stuff to show you that will hopefully keep you cool until autumn starts. Starting with... A new legendary pixpet has been sighted by our artist @Lorienee! What could it be? And one more batch of summer decor! Huge thanks to our artist @HappyElanda for all of these! Other Decor Updates: The Water Tile item can now be found as a floor skin! The Sandy Beach Floor skin can now be found as a tile (a.k.a. ground cover/rug)! New pixinytes were discovered after a certain contest! What a coincidence... (Note: Contest winners will be awarded soon!) Edit: To celebrate 180+ pixpal variations, all players have been given +20 pixpal inventory slots! Use them wisely! All of these are now findable on hoards! Hope you all enjoy your last month of summer with us, and happy hunting! ☀️

(Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, then we hope you're staying warm!) Regardless, it's now summer in the Pixrealm, which means that all of our spring items and pets have gone into hiding until next year. But not to worry, because our summer items will be returning soon, AND we'll have an array of exciting new items for you to find! Summer items will become available on July 2, so please look forward to it! In pixpal news, we're working diligently on the winning pixpals from the recent contest! However, they'll be released at a later date, as we need a bit more time. For now, here's a preview of one! Can you guess which one it is? Hope you all have a good summer! ☀️

The contest just ended a couple days ago and we already have the results? That's right, I somehow managed to catch the other judges while they weren't busy! We've carefully considered each submission, and we hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results! 🥉3rd Place: 🥈2nd Place: 🥇1st Place!! If you didn't win this time, don't worry! There will be more contests in the near future! And...you never know, sometimes we lay awake at night regretting that we didn't choose your submission, so you might get a surprise! What Happens Next: Over the next few days, we'll begin awarding the promised prizes (including the prize for all participants -- don't let us forget!). It'll take time to finalize and implement the winning pixpals, so those will be awarded later as they're released. I (BK) or Cherche will post in this thread again when all the initial prizes have been awarded, so if you didn't receive your prizes, please let us know after we make that post! A Note from BK: This is something that I didn't explain very well in previous pixpal contests, so I just want to be as transparent as possible! When I'm in the process of finalizing a contest design to be put in the game, I often redraw and/or modify the design. There are a few reasons that I do this: I don't want players to feel like we're using contests to make them do our work for us, so I put my own effort into reimagining each design, rather than just copying it. I do realize this runs the risk of destroying a design rather than improving it, and I'm always open to feedback in that regard! Because of course I want the designs to be recognizable to the players who made them -- otherwise what was the point of the contest?! One drawback of art contests is that they remove the element of surprise for any new content that comes from them, so I try to inject something new into each pixpal so that players have something to discover. Not all contest submissions initially fit the look and feel of the other pixpals, so even if I change nothing about the design itself, chances are I'll still redraw it to fit the pixpal style. ...Da boss wants changes. lmao Knowing this, I hope it will make some sense when you see your finalized pixpal looking a little different!
