i thought the name "Steampunk" would fit with igupunk's punk theme! i also just enjoy steampunk aesthetics kgfgfsd

I'm pretty unoriginal when it comes to naming my pets lol like when I got my first Igupunk, I named her Rose because of her color. But then I decided to go with flower names for all my other Igupunks (there's also Tulip and Buttercup). Then there's two pets with names I took from Hiveswap Friendsim (Tagora and "Zeeb" aka Zebruh lmao), two names are Italian words (Luna and Fragola) and two are just random names (Boo and Noxie). I have a Canisqua egg now and idk how I'm going to name it yet

All my pets are named after places to eat. I try to keep them somewhat close to the brand colors.

All the pets I use most often have importance to me in some form or another-
Charma, my Sunobra, reminds me of a snake a friend used to have that they called "Charming and, Ultima, my Luputrix, is named because my lover's favorite animal is a wolf and he goes by that name
Other than that you have:
Sugar my pydeer that popped out white so I guess it made sense that the only female I hatched naturally and didn't gender change was named something cute and sweet
Roosevelt (my rootax) who I named because a certain someone in a certain website gave me a bunch of name puns for when he hatched
Quinoa my OTHER sunobra who is named for a deity for a species I own also I really like quinoa don't @ me
My drax is named Aquarius because he's aqua and I'm "original"
Mobath is named Mophim in place of "Mothim" from pokemon

Okay, here's another one with a non-random name!

At work yesterday, we had to travel a little. The yard I was working in had patches of clover growing in it. I don't know about you guys; but every clover I've ever seen has just been solid green. The clovers here all had a single red spot in the middle of each petal/leaf. It was neat, and also odd.

I named my owluck for the oddity I saw yesterday!

I named Phil because he was a male feliphene. So like. Philiphene. Or feliphil

i'm still picking nostalgic names! names of real life animals that have passed away, favorite family members and pets that remind me of them... things like that

I named my Drax Drat because I thought it was kinda cute. Also, the same for Rocco

The two pets I currently have are mildly inspired by Final Fantasy XIV's naming conventions. Kiems would've been Kiemi'a, my character's name, but names don't allow apostrophes, so I went with his nickname. Almexio draws upon the names of the Sylphs, with -o and -a determining the masculinity or femininity of the name (as Sylphs lack any biological sex).

I probably did what most people did and just names my pet after my IRL pet :p
Pretty unoriginal, especially considering my dog is a rescue so I didn't even pick his name in the first place.
