I can't believe I haven't posted on here yet. I'm positively in love with pretty much all invertebrates, but if I were absolutely forced to narrow it down to "mother nature's top 3 greatest hits" I'd have to pick mosquitoes (especially Sabethes cyaneus), wasps, and the crown of thorns starfish. The last one is my favorite animal probably ever, even if it's a terrible invasive species. Sometimes awful awful animals are the most striking (spotted lanternfly anyone?). Honorable mentions go to nematodes and spiders who are both just as unfairly maligned as most of my other favorites.

Favorite vertebrates are probably lammergeiers, newts, and just generally most reptiles. I'm holding off on just listing off birds because there are a LOT of birds I really really like, bearded vultures are just #1.
