Ever since I first saw The Princess Bride, I liked the Spaniard looking for the man with six fingers, in large part for his great delivery when he finally found the guy. When I first saw my little Drax, the first word I thought was "indigo", but I knew it didn't fit. It did, however, remind me of aforementioned Spaniard, and so I decided to name my little dragon after him.

In keeping with the theme, when my second pixpet hatched, I decided to bestow upon her that same Spaniard's last name, and so my little set of two was complete.

Then the third was hatched, and with Inigo Montoya only having two names I could think of, and none of the others having the same impact for me. At first I wa thinking of Winnie the Pooh's Kanga and Roo, but felt dissatisfied with both of those names. Then I took a good hard look at my Rootax and although the label claims him yellow, I found myself reminded of gold. Thus, thinking back on my mostly forgotten chemistry lessons from back when I attended high school, I decided to name him for the element.

As for my next pixpet, well. We'll see when we get there
