I feel like my first thought would've been that dishes could've handled the role of potions, with stuff like the stews or salt blocks etc being the ingredients to go into much larger meals. but talking about this universe, hmmm i feel like stats would be hard to think for bc potions pretty much handle most things

maybe there could be a dish that randomly (and temporarily) assigns a pixpet a color for their next hoard? eating another would overwrite the last color, and it can't be changed mid-hoard of course. there's probably decent ways to balance out something like this but it's still pretty early where i am and i don't have enough brain power shss (edit: just realized something simple: maybe they can only change into their other color chances, like if you have a black feliphene, the food can only turn them lime, magenta, or white at random)

for that though, I'd imagine some kinda baked good or candy, maybe

Or maybe a refreshing drink/smoothie that shortens resting time! Could be really handy when your pet is at a high level and it takes them 10+ hrs to rest fully.
