Before I start complaining, I'll just see how the new hoard mechanics play out, and see if a rarity excluder is worth 16 voxels. |

Was hoping to hunt down some cool decorations but guess that's going to be a much bigger investment now as the massive amount of ingredients don't come out of nowhere. |

The result is... At least 400 PC total. The Voxels alone are worth 240 PC (15 PC each), but then there's other ingredients, too. I have never seen a rare decor item selling for more than 200PC, some of them don't even reach the "Top Item Auction Bids" list. So, essentially, I imagine brewing a new Rarity Excluder scenario would go like this: - planting 2-8 pumpkin seeds of the same color, the highest grade you can manage - waiting 2 weeks with an already full-grown Voxel Plant - finally giving your pet a potion only for it to return with something like a sewing machine you could've easily bought for 25 PC on the market. No, really, what is the point of this potion now that it's too expensive to make and doesn't guarantee any good finds? I've only used a Rarity Excluder once before and all I've got back then was a troffinch egg and a colored Designer Pot. It was a little underwhelming, I could've bought these items cheaper on the market. Imagine something like this happening now that the Rarity Excluder Potion requires x4 ingredients than before. It would be simply disheartening. This is a total overkill. In my opinion introducing a new Rarity Excluder for Pixpet eggs alone balances things out already, there's no reason to increase the number of ingredients needed for these potions on top of that. Please don't forget that a Rarity Excluder is useless on it's own, it has to be paired with other potions in order to have any effect at all. Don't you think that making 2 potions to get just 1 item is balanced enough already? |

Their effect is still the same for item findings. I agree the prices seem a bit too high now. We'll see how it goes. :) The changes are not set in stone and depending on the response there may be more adjustments! The recipes of all other potions not mentioned in the news will stay the same. |

Sure, having a better chance of getting a rare item is nice, but I thought even 4 voxels was too many to use on one potion, especially one that needs another potion to even work. I believe that SLVL and regular decoration/pixpet potions work just as well for finding rare items, even if you need to do a couple of tries. I like the change that higher level pets can find more rare items. It gives more incentive to levelling up your pets rather than just getting a new one when the old one starts taking too long on hoards. However, I think that long hoard times are going to become an issue because high-level pets can find any rarity level. It would suck if you sent out a level 100 pet for 2 days and all they came back with was a plastic table. The only major problem I have with this update is the Item Find Quantity changes. I am lucky that I have 2 rooms with 70 SLVL, so even if I don't receive any SLVL pats from people, I can still send out my pets and receive high-quality potion items. But if you are a new player or anyone that doesn't receive regular interactions or has little decoration items, the chances of finding good potion items has decreased greatly. Say you have a room with 20 SLVL and have had no interactions, using the liquid turquoise example, you would receive 1-2 (8 x 0.2 = 1.6, round up or down?) liquid turquoise with a grade anywhere from 5 to 35 (20 - 15 = 5, 20 + 15 = 35). I think this is unfair because sending pixpets on hoards is already hard when you don't have a steady food supply of pumpkins. The smaller houses only have 1 pumpkin spot, so you'll need to decide whether to use those pumpkins for food or for potions. When you add in the fact that more people prefer to click eggs rather than interact with pets, this problem only gets worse. I definitely think the hoarding mechanism needed an update, so I'm glad to see that it's actively being worked on. I look forward to the future of hoarding and hope that we can all come to some sort of agreement in the end. :) |

The changes involving SLV are unfortunate on their own - is it even possible to get a room with a SLV higher than 50 before spending thousands to upgrade to a new house? - but the changes to the rarity excluder and pixpet potions make the potions no longer worth investing in, in my opinion. I dunno, I guess I feel like these changes are unfriendly towards less established players. |

I dunno, I guess I feel like these changes are unfriendly towards less established players. The contrairy is the case. The SLVL is now not as important anymore for pixpet finds of lower level pets. Lover level pets are now much more likely to find stuff. :) Once they reach higher levels they will also find rarer things to increase the SLVL. It is true that a small house can not hold many rare items, however already a SLVL of 50 is very good and can be achieved with the help of lottery interactions. I agree with you that the potions may turn out to be too expensive. More balancing will be done to the hoards definitely! |

I'm liking this hoard update so far xD As someone who never uses rarity excluders because they lower the value of rare stuff (and the fun factor of finding them), I'm surprised that other players' main complaint is about how costly it is to make them now. I'm one of the people who's in favor of removing them and making them event-only. But this change seems like almost the equivalent of removing them, so I'm happy with it. As always thank you very much for your hard work Komodo! |

The grade of an item find now depends entirely on the SLVL: SLVL 100 = Grade 100 +-15 random variance (min 0, max 100). Big oof. |

And if the nerf to the rarity exluder was just meant to make pixpets more valuable- why not just mostly leave it how it is except have it not work on pets anymore? Or do that and make the pixpet rarity excluder item, and have that one be a bit more costly to make- instead of making everything rarity related harder to use? Also once more pets are added, the odds of getting specific ones will probably go down, just because there's more options- assuming the site population doesn't explode too much. |

This is the PixPet involved in the thing. I sent him hoarding, and well... This is what he got back: So well, I think now I'm going to need to get accustomed to get Low or Void items. At least got an Egg what I can sell back to server, but... Well. (And I say what I need to get accustomed, because my avg SLVL for my principal 2 PixPets is 32, and for the others between 15 and 25 ) EDIT: Okay, now the other PixPet I have on Back Yard returned from hoarding. Guess what? Now I'm afraid of send my PixPets again for hoarding without SLVL below 50 (and need to be lucky enough to have enough people for interact with my PixPets... ) |

(My backyard's SLVL is 6. 6.) Agreeing that 16 voxel fruits seems a little overkill. (I'm half-expecting someone to just make a voxel fruit factory.) But hey, at least the rarity excluder changes make pixpet eggs more costly... right?? |

Those two PixPets were on Back Yard, who has only SLVL 3. I'm sending the big boys into hoarding to find if at least they can get something... useful. Now let's wait. |

The next pixpet to return will return tomorrow, so I'll wait to see how it goes. |

I'm used to get G10-30 items in PixPets with low levels and close to zero SLVL, and something affected that in the bad way. However, as I pointed, let's wait until the big ones come back... |
