Although I've never lived in the Fjordland Villa, I had to make the same decision when I moved out of the mansion and into the Italian Villa. I was a bit nervous going into it because it was the first time I'd sacrificed a pumpkin slot for other upgrades, but surprisingly I didn't notice much of a change in pumpkin production. I also had some pumpkins saved up, which helped.

Admittedly, the Italian Villa has considerably less pet slots (17) than the Fjordland Villa, which may be why I was able to feed them all. But if you have your heart set on the Fjordland Villa, the only advice I can think to offer is to save up pumpkins (if you haven't already). Luckily, you're currently in the best house for saving up pumpkins.

Sure, I don't see an issue with that. ^^ And your assumption is correct; public auctions are currently the only way to get eggs from other players.

Curious, I see gif files are allowed for avatars, but the animated one I uploaded is still static.
Are animated avatars not a thing here?

EDIT: you know, now I see the 72x72 requirement and mine is 100x100, that probably is why.
Don't want to resize it though because the resolution gets crummy, question answered though!
