Pumpkins are one of PPN’s core gameplay mechanics. But what exactly can they be used for? Well, never fear, Pudding’s here to explain!

Pumpkins are a plant commonly cultivated in the world of Pixpet. They have many uses, which I’ll go over later. Pixpets find pumpkin seeds on hoards; players then plant those seeds in their gardens and harvest them once they have produced the product desired. Pumpkin plants can only be harvested once, and have three products: flowers, sprouting pumpkins, and full-grown pumpkins, each of which has its own use. A pumpkin plant produces 1-4 pumpkins/flowers. Every pumpkin has a grade; a higher grade results in a more valuable harvest. Their grade is inherited from their seed and ranges from 1 to 100. Grade will drop if watering is neglected; it can only be raised with the use of Grade Fertilizer (though fertilizer can’t raise a plant’s grade above 100). There are several other types of fertilizer available; some increase a pumpkin plant’s yield, some speed up or slow down its growth, and some decrease its need for water.



Pumpkin products can be converted to food on this page. Pumpkin flowers provide 30 pellets + grade, sprouting pumpkins provide 60 pellets + grade, and full-grown pumpkins provide 120 pellets + grade. Therefore, a single pumpkin product can provide anywhere from 31 to 220 pellets, and a single pumpkin plant can produce up to 880 pellets if it produces 4 full-grown grade 100 pumpkins.


Pumpkins can also be used for potions! Sprouting pumpkins can be combined with liquid gemstones to create gemstone stews. Stews are used for hoard potions. I know pumpkins have other potion uses but I can’t remember the details; I’ll update this guide later.

Hey there russelgrim123, as Pudding said, you can find pumpkin seeds by sending your pets hoarding. Another way to get them is by interacting with pixpet eggs (not pixinytes) on other players' profiles.

If you're not sure which players currently have eggs to interact with, what I like to do is sort the userlist by join date and check the newest players' profiles for eggs, since they usually have some.
