Great question, I've been thinking about this and honestly I'm not sure! I think I've said in another thread, but the few game franchises that I'm willing to buy new consoles for are Pokemon and Elder Scrolls -- and since there won't be a new Elder Scrolls installment until maybe 2026, my interest in the Switch 2 will depend on how good the Pokemon games for it are. Specs don't matter to me with consoles since it's the devs' job to make their games run smoothly on said console. I'm sure there are good reasons for people to care about console specs, but I am a simple opossum lmao

What about you? Anything you're looking forward to with the Switch 2 or any speculation about it?

Omg I forgot about the Oracle games! Those were some of the few that didn't have Zelda in them, yet somehow they're still my favorites lmao. I hope they get remakes too. As for other ports, good question. A lot of the games that I liked when I was younger weren't Nintendo IPs, so it'd be a long shot to hope for Switch 2 ports for those. But one thing that I'm always waiting and wishing for is new PMD games haha


Same, and I think a lot of us are feeling this. S/V was released without thorough testing and also felt like it had some of its thunder taken from it by PLA. That is, I think S/V would've been more exciting if it had been the first open-world pokemon game, jank and all, but sadly it wasn't so it just felt like "oh, another one of these" lol. It's also hard to see where Pokemon (or Zelda for that matter) is gonna go from here. I guess we'll see :0
