Whenever I try to input my username + password into the login page, the Firefox password manager recognizes the "password" input as a password text box, but it doesn't recognize the "username or email" input as a username text box.

I am using Firefox version 65.0.1

Dug into firefox' user files. It seems to save the name of the form field the username was extracted from, and may only fill matching form fields later. For my local PixPet entry, the username field name was empty, probably from saving while registering, not on first login.

So a workaround could be deleting the saved credentials and saving them again on next login. Tried it, does not work. Firefox does not detect any username field for credential saving, even on the login page.

I finally found the cause for this bug. Firefox should recognize the input field now.
If your FF saved usernameless autocomplete data, you may delete it and re-login giving FF the chance to save again.
