My favorite franchise ever is Pokémon. If I have one all-time favorite game, it would be one in the core series. High points: Red/Blue because Gen 1, Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black/White/Black 2/White 2, Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.

Public service announcement: If you have never tried online rating battles in Pokémon, try it. It is the epitome of the Pokémon experience and you owe it to the developers. I like doing the VGC rulesets, but even other rulesets let the series shine.

People who say Pokémon is "too easy," isn't competitive enough, or isn't strategic enough have never dabbled in the online PvP. Getting the right stats is easier than ever, so you have no excuse.


I also love the Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon series. I think Explorers of Sky is the one I put the most time into? I play Pokémon GO. I blame my BFF. I played Let's Go, Pikachu! a couple months ago, but it's not one of my favorites. Following/riding Pokémon are cute, though.
