That's not weird at all

You might've guessed, but pumpkin slots are everything to me when choosing a house, because of how important food is to gameplay, and the fact that pumpkins have multiple uses.

With that in mind, I'd say that the European Lakeside is probably the weakest of the midgame houses. It would downgrade your pumpkin slots, which makes its other features sorta pointless (for example you'll have more pet slots, but probably not enough food to send them all on hoards every day).

As for a good endgame house to start with, the Riverside Mansion will always be my favorite because of...*drumroll*...its 7 pumpkin slots (surprise! xD). It also has the largest backyard of all houses, which is fun to decorate. From here you'll have enough moneymaking power to shoot for something higher, like the Italian Villa -- which technically has less pumpkin slots, but more power than the Riverside Mansion. It's confusing, lol
