Does winning mean 1st place or 1-3rd place? I’m assuming it’s the latter because 1-3rd place all will receive patches.

I’m not exactly sure what happened last contest period, but I assumed the error was because someone won twice and people thought it wasn’t fair? In my opinion though, I think it’s more unfair that someone isn’t able to win twice. Let’s say we submitted for 2 contests, and both of them were loved by the judges. But because the person can only win once, the judges can only the one they like the most out of the 2. The other idea (the idea less liked in comparison) would be forced to not be included in the top 3 for another contest, even though it was really good. There’s no rules against resubmitting, but it’s highly discouraged. So, the person would’ve assumed that their other idea would be bad and never resubmit it, even though the judges thought it was good. As long there’s some sort of restriction with winning (either 1st place or 1st-3rd place), this would still be a problem. If it’s only 1st place then the problem would be less but still restricting us. The judging is based off our ideas, why should it be restricted like this?

And what if the person who won doesn’t want a patch? The extra patch could be raffled off to the others through discord or something, I just think that the reason why we can’t win twice is weird.

Also, another problem, badges. From patreon we could see that there’s 4 badges, and they come in 3 different colours, gold, silver and bronze according to the place you got in the contest. Considering that you can’t score top 3 in more than one contest in one contest period, it would take I think at least 1 year to get all the badges, not to mention that you have score 3rd, 2nd and 1st once exactly each time. Wouldn’t that be unnecessary long and hard? I think it could be counted as an event badge, and be like you scored 1st in a contest (any)! 2nd in a contest (any)! 3rd in a contest (any)!
