Hoo, boy. That sounds like a doozy of a first session. Sorry you had to get janked on so hard by another party member. Did your DM give him a bit of a stern talking-to about that?

I'm currently running a Pathfinder campaign for a group of friends. It's been going on for about a year now and they've just reached 7th level. So far, they've repelled a giant sand worm, been caught up in the start of a war and a city siege, and rescued a whole bunch of refugees. It's a bit wild if I'm being honest and I think I have a few too many ideas for one campaign sometimes. But the players seem to enjoy it, and I love homebrew, so it all seems to be working out so far. Some player issues, but we seem to be managing them ok.

I think I'll always prefer DMing. I'd love to be a player again at some point so I can actually have a character I can invest into and care about, but I just enjoy telling stories and building challenges for my players far too much to give it up forever.
