You can own up to six houses in this game, that much is made clear, but is there a point to owning multiple houses? The game says you can only reside in one at a time, though what exactly that means isn't entirely clear. I've bought a new house but sold my starter before really thinking about this concept.

My impression is that you can only have one house active at a time, and the other just sits there empty and useless until you start using it again. So to me, at least, it would seem that keeping the house rather than just selling it (whether back to the side or to another Player) doesn't have much point. Does anyone else know more about this?

I suspected it was something along this line. Thank you for confirming as such for me. It does strike me as really odd to have any limit on houses like that, especially one as high as six, when you can only effectively use one.
