I haven’t seen this suggested from what I’ve looked around, so I was wondering about users submitting sprite recolours of their individual pixpets. It is not meant to replace vivid or rare variants since those are mostly obtained from eggs and have value in collectibility (completing the pixdex), whereas the recolors are from a wish for an owned pixpet’s written lore/personality to be better reflected in its appearance.
To avoid issues, I imagine that:
- This would not be an easy permission to obtain. Maybe it would require a rare item or potion? Either bought or crafted, and would hold a similar value to what is required, for example, an albino noo-long.
- The pixpet’s in-game colour will not be affected.
- There would be a set guideline for what you’re allowed and not allowed to edit (Is it a recolour only? Would drawing in accessories be allowed? Detail edits to the pixpet itself?)
- The submitted sprite would first need to get approved by a moderator.
