this is actually a very long-time problem of mine, but i only decided to make a post about it now.
so, i wanted to block a user to prevent them from interacting with me, my pets, my items/eggs at the market (especially that) and etc., due to me not wanting to/not being able to resolve the conflict with them through messaging, but it didn't do anything. like, they can still bid on the things i'm selling at the market. which made me really wonder what does blocking even DO, if anything at all. i tried looking for the answer to that in the game FAQ, and it didn't have any mention of this at all, nor did anybody ask this in the forum. i can only assume that blocking only prevents the user from messaging you, so people wouldn't abuse it in the market sense, but i myself wouldn't go so far as to block somebody unless i'm actually pissed off by them, so. yah.

TL;DR - i blocked someone in hopes that would stop them from interacting we me at all, but they can still interact with me. so, what does blocking even do, then? and how can i prevent someone from interacting with me if BLOCKING, of all things, doesn't protect me?

it's a shame that such a feature does not exist as of now, imho. but i do understand that my situation is too specific to be handled with the tools that are already present, without implementing new things to the site. or without bothering a moderator, for that matter.
