It all started a few months ago. I have a lil' Dell tower that lags when playing TF2 and Monster Hunter World on potato mode. Friend just upgraded his old machine, suggests sending me his old tower. It's a pretty good starter pc and all I'll have to provide is a hard drive & RAM.
"Hey, that's pretty good"
It takes him awhile to send it, and by awhile I mean 6 months. (To his credit, he did send it. He also has no driver's license and is working full time almost 7 days a week.) I get a tower with a motherboard manual. "Noice". So I start plugging everything in, everything seems pretty good. I hook up the cables to turn it on and...

Nothing.

So I start going through and rechecking everything, check the cables, check the cpu, check the wiring to the best of my ability (dude never gave me anything on how the wires should be, so I just checked to make sure they were connected and soldered), check compatibilities, check all the things. Hook it back up and... The heatsink (big fan over cpu) moves slightly, as if it wants to come to life, and says, "Nah not feeling it today" and stops. Due to my lack of stuff I can't check the power supply or motherboard, but I'm positive it's one of those. Regardless, send it to a nearby shop, they look at it.
"Yeah it don't work, but we'll look at it."

After a day or so they come back, turns out some of the pins that connect the motherboard to the CPU are bent, and by a few I mean about 5-6, probably my fault too. In layman's terms, it's broke. Order new motherboard, $130 (pretty good), have them install it cause I'm not feeling it. After they install it, it works.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
Turns out they accidentally formatted my hard drive. Someone mistook it for a recyclable pc, so they wiped everything. They apologize profusely and offer to install a SSD (Solid State Drive. It make your pc run Sanic fast) for free along with recovering much data. "Gee, what do you think?"

So... That's the story so far... Ordered the SSD, it's gonna be here in a few days. I just want to play MHW and Minecraft without lag. But demon PC says no. So I wait...

TL;DR - Cursed PC uses demon magic to make getting it to run is as painful as possible.
