Ok, take 2!

@Wayvern Ah, thanks! Yeah, that makes sense. Most of the coded things have recently been additions which were either tweaks to existing structure, or additions which already had code written, but are getting new topics to add to existing framework/systems, such as new items and pixpets.

So, the question becomes this: can we ask for this in a way which makes it easier to add to the existing framework/system, and does not require an undue amount of extra work, such as adjusting an existing system, or adding a part similar to an existing system? And still respect Komodo's (based on an earlier comment) desire to keep auctions predominant in the game?

To me that starts looking like the usershop version again. It could be a separate shop, or just one of the spaces in our existing shops, but with a limit of one egg posted per day or week, or whathave you. The time limits exist in game already, and infact, they exit on the shops themselves, because we cannot buy more than three items from one person in an certain time. I don't know how easy it is to turn that around, but if a player cannot sell more than one egg in a certain time, that provides the limit factor.

To me this seems like it fits in the framework we have, and is not asking for the addition of a new, never on the site before thing, but as I have said, I am not a coder. The trade version becomes two people posting an egg for 1PC, and trading that way. In the usershops, only those who know the egg is up, or are looking at you page, will see it. This means that with the increasing number of players, it will not be able to be a large manner of acquisition, unless someone is hunting it down. And the limit for six interactions per user/day could be applied here to give one egg purchase per user/day(s), which means narrowing down how many eggs one can obtain in this manner.

@peabuns timelines! I know you and I have different wants for this, so I will ask, what is the optimum amount of trades per time you would want, and what is the longest amount of time you would still be wanting to work with? For me, I would want at least 1 egg trade/sale per 3months, and would consider 1trade per week optimal. I know you are much shorter in timeframe, so what is your scale?

And if people could give feedback or suggestions that would be great! I am throwing ideas at the wall here, but if we have a respectful idea or adjustment to ask for, I feel like that would not be such a bad thing. Might even help our case. PLEASE correct me if you think I am in error!

This is a community site, which successfully promotes interactions around the eggs, pets, messages, art, and forums. The pet interactions promote helping each other, and we have many ways to communicate and build that community. But despite the ability to give trade and sell all items available on site, the only way to exchange eggs to friends or other individuals met here is to put them up on auction for the whole site, which does not in any way guarantee that your preferred individual will get it, just the individual willing to pay the most, at the time the auction closes. That seems... Odd to me.
I understand that we are one group, asking for a thing while many are likely doing the same, but I would like to request that this feature or one like it be strongly considered on the list for upcoming updates. (Ok, getting off my soapbox now... Ooops?)

And with that, I think most of what I had written last time is here, if longer, and more poorly worded. My apologies for the length, and I welcome constructive criticism to the whole post here. Please help me improve any of it!
