I like this idea because giving items more purposes is always good for the economy. Plus it would be fun to craft decorations.

Generally, I like the idea of giving existing items more uses. It looks like most plant products’ sole purpose is to be put into evobars and the like right now, which makes them have little other use outside of that.
With more crafting options available, players have more creative freedom and greater customisation options, to really make each person’s house unique, which is one of the main aspects of the game. There’s also even more of an incentive to take care of different plants.
I also agree with BeasRabbit that there shouldn’t be too many new materials, just enough to introduce the new category of craftables. Prefer sticking with the items currently on site.
