okay, i have to ask this... is anybody else having trouble with pop-up ads here?
i don't mean the ads that run along the top and side of the main bits. i mean the last couple of days, this annoying and intrusive pop-up ad thing has appeared. and it's driving me bats. i'll be trying to do something and Every Blinkin' Time the page refreshes, that stupid thing gets in the way!
do you have any idea how many times this site refreshes its pages? answer is A Lot. you change one thing on the search filter, it refreshes. you go to add something more to the filter, it refreshes.

~btw, why doesn't it just let you tweak your filters in a go and Then refresh? like if i want to filter placed items, i have to submit that command before i can add the filter of whatever specific thing it is i want to filter... i would think it would be more efficient if we could do more than a filter selection at a time. and would create less drag on the site/servers in the process...~

i enjoy spending casual play time on here. but it's getting to the point where i feel less and less like i Am spending Casual play time on here. i will be the first to admit that the ad thing isn't the Whole problem. i have a fair share of things going on at my end irl that is threatening my good time. but the ad thing... it's just one more thing i Don't need.
so if this pop-up ad Is a site decision and not a hiccup somewhere... i don't know how much more i'll be on here.
please tell me it's something that can be fixed.

Hey there @GeistStorm, that's pretty strange. o_o; There shouldn't be any pop-up ads on Pixpet. If you can get a screenshot of the ad for us, that would help greatly.

And I agree with Pudding; an adblocker usually clears that problem right up. If it doesn't, I recommend running a virus scan on your device, since there's also the possibility that the issue is being caused by adware. I personally use Malwarebytes for this, but if you have antivirus software that you prefer/trust, that works too.

Hmm... will have this investigated, we didn't touch the ad stuff as far as I'm aware but possible that adsense had changed stuff or updated, I'm not sure. Thanks for letting us know.
