I very much dislike NFTs. I agree with you.
Their existence is turning digital art into a commodity, in my opinion, rather than a unique piece of art as NFTs are advertised to do.
In addition, one of the main draws of digital media is that it can be indefinitely reproduced without loss. Why would you want to strip that away?
(Not to mention all the other issues with them that by themselves make them worth steering clear of.)

If anyone is thinking of investing in NFTs, please don't. Commissioning an artist or buying their merch, or on the creator's side making physical merchandise, offering commissions, or getting a job illustrating or animating are much cleaner and greener ways of making money through artwork.
