Most of the accounts who make these types of threads are very new - the oldest registered on Feb 20. To stop these people in their tracks, maybe there could be a sort of captcha, like how Magistream has a thread in which all new users must post before they can post elsewhere. Another option would be a minimum age requirement; for example, users must have been on the site for five days before they can post.

Hmm...I'd say Pixpet's blocking feature functions well enough, but you can rest assured that if someone here started behaving like that and bothering a lot of players (and/or evading blocks with alts to bother just one user), we'd nix that nonsense pretty quick. 👍

Having said that, I'm going to ask that you keep discussion about users from other sites out of the forums, as it's not very respectful (even if true) and we don't want Pixpet to look like a place for gossip. I do understand your worry about a potential problematic player in the future, but we keep a tight watch here so I don't think there's anything to be afraid of


Sorry for the late reply on this -- normally I'd agree with placing some kind of temporary posting restriction on new players, and I think I even suggested it once, but about 3 years ago there was a bug that caused new players to be unable to start the game at all, and the only way that they could ask for help was via the forums. So because of the possibility of a bug like that reappearing, we haven't reconsidered placing posting restrictions on new accounts. At the moment the spambots are at manageable levels, I usually don't see more than two a week which is pretty good. However if it ever gets really bad, then I'll start bothering Cherche xD
(Also Pixpet's registration process itself has a captcha, and bots bypass it somehow, we're still not sure how they do that :S)

Yesterday I bought a Ukraineball plush off of Etsy. He should arrive from Poland sometime next month. And last night I had an idea for a place where people can show off their countryball plushies and work on a huge, collaborative comic where each photo of a countryball plush is a panel.
