I was just wondering how the color change for pitxpets after evolving works. I have a cyan drax, which is at 5% rarity for the species which I'd rather keep.

If I evolve him, would the color change to a more common one?

I really want to keep the cyan because of the cyan only items he can get on hoards. But at the same time, if I don't evolve him, the chances of finding stuff and the amount of pixcoins are much lower

Yeah, the color rerolls upon evolution, so you're not likely to get Cyan again since the chances are the same with Altudrax. It's just a risk you have to decide whether or not you want to take.

On the bright side, Drax/Altudrax can have access to one or the other Xeldron, depending on which color you get. But I know you said you specifically wanted Cyan items. Hmm...

it probably would change, due to... probability :( but you could always raise up another drax and evolve *that* one if you want to keep your baby cyan drax cyan. ^^;

Drax eggs are fairly cheap from what I've seen in the market, I got one for a bit more than 10 coins

But as long as you're not a perfectionist about having a rare color pet, I would suggest evolving it, because most items it will find will be plastic furniture, which aren't worth a whole lot and the evolution will find rarer/better furniture and more money. Also Bloomfer has a 25% chance to have the cyan color group and has the same weight limit as Drax, so that would be an alternative I guess?
