The basic idea is that when a player harvests their pumpkins there is a chance to get pumpkin seed, at a lower grade. It's basically a secondary way of getting seed to go along with egg hatch help as some players may not do egg hatches all the time. The chance can be based on how many pumpkins are on the vine 4 pumpkins = very high chance at seed 1 pumpkin = very low chance The number of seed you get could also possibly be chance based on # of pumpkins, but all seed would be based on the color of pumpkin you grow. As far as grades are concerned, the grade of seed could be a % reduction, such as a grade 100 pumpkin has a 60% to 80% with seed which would give seed grades of 20 to 40. |

(Not for plants, as that would make it too easy since they last forever.) It can be incredibly hard to get pumpkin seeds sometimes, and that causes big problems when you have a lot of high-level Pixpets going on hoards. I'd like to see this be a thing, or at least some other alternative to get seeds. (Except I wouldn't like the chances to be so high; personally I'd prefer a max of, say, 50%, that way people wouldn't get an excess of them.) It would also help a bit with the 'Helping eggs hatch over helping SLVL' thing, since I've seen some people say how they'd much rather prefer the SLVL. |

Especially at the high end it's not always possible to maintain a steady flow of hoards. I've stopped sending out all 12 pets, dropping it to 8 and only harvesting pumpkins every 24 hours because I run out of seeds so quickly. It's either grow food for hoarding or stop hoarding to get potions. |

Currently I stick to eggs on my interactions, but I am seeing a decreasing in my pumpkin seed hoard. I know I will run out of them at some point at the rate they are going down. |

I'm also underneath the stress of having my pumpkin seed stock slowly disappear as time goes on, which is why I'm now taking a break to hatch some eggs I've kept to stop me from hoarding. The amount of pumpkin seeds you get in a day certainly doesn't support the players who have a lot of mouths to feed. I don't think I've had a surplus of food since just freshly moving out of the Starter's Hut. |

It's a great way to mitigate the supposed shortage of pumpkin seeds without messing with interaction mechanics, and it makes "real life" sense that some ripe pumpkins may yield viable seeds for planting. |

Even if there were just dull seeds, I'm always trying to find those >20 seeds to combine with all the 80-90 seeds. Plus it makes total sense, like, there are seeds inside pumpkins. Yeah, I tottally love this idea. |
