Update Log Mid Febuary 2022:

I hope you're having a good day.

I'm afraid I'll be starting off this news post a little somber and solemn as this needs to be addressed to encourage a healthy & friendly environment on the site and beyond. Some of you are aware that there has been recent controversy among staff on discord with regards to a player who was also on staff (and has chosen to leave their role). First off, I would like to apologize on behalf of our staff for allowing a confusing and ill-fated discussion to grow outside professional bounds. Good intentions do not excuse the poor execution of what happened.

For people that are aware of the situation, please rest assured that the staff involved have been spoken to, and have committed themselves to a better handling of any future conflicts, should they arise.

For those that know whom are involved, please do not harass the players/previous staff who have decided to leave the site, and let them move on in peace. Please also do not harass the staff about this matter as we would like to move on from this debacle with your understanding. The staff does not bear ill will toward anyone for expressing and/or acting upon their opinions.

As a reminder, Pixpet and its staff do not condone or tolerate racism, discrimination, gaslighting, or other malicious acts of any kind within our oversight. This is reflected in our community guidelines on both the forum and Discord server. To avoid confusion or misinterpretation, future official site communications will shift away from its current casual tone to be a little more formal, in order to avoid such a scenario happening again. With regards to the above, any of the mods/myself will be available here or on discord if you require further information or wish to address anything.

Now on to the content update.

First off, the Pixpal system that was hinted at the last update is progressing smoothly and we're hoping to begin testing soon. We currently have about 36 or so pixpals with more in development(inclusive of color variants) ready and waiting to meet you. Here's a preview at how the system is shaping up:

An Empty Pixpal Dex (we missed a spacing, actual one will have it)


Once you discover a Pixpal, you'll unlock some info about it. Until you fully discover all there is to that Pixpal's line, the ?s will remain.

Once summoned, you will be able to attach your brand new Pixpal to a Pixpet. Freebie there on the colors for the 1st Pixpal species, the Leemue.

Temporary text there, but you will be able to play with other players Pixpals for goodies!


Next, the art for Duel in the Desert has been completed. A composer is currently working on the track for the game and it is also currently undergoing prototyping. So we're thankfully still ontrack for a Feb release and in early concept stages for the next minigame.




A couple of QoL updates have been introduced a couple of days ago if anyone noticed, we know this has been a long time coming, but here it is. The glorious plant/fertilize ALL button for all your gardening needs.


You may also now cancel your hoard attempts if you happen to change your mind at the cost of your pixfood. Your Potions will be returned to you.



Today we're releasing the Dracoforge, the final evolution to the Techtagon line. This sturdy Pixpet now sports a new tail complete with blowtorch, and boy does it pack on the heat! You can make the Western Dragon Second Evobar to evolve your Draconeer.





Regarding update to adventure, I'm looking at end of the month to early March to add a few new quests as admittedly we are stretched a little thin working on other content for the site.



Finally, regarding the contest, a player asked about this and I'd like to clarify that yes, you are allowed to opt not to win a patch if you're uncomfortable with providing an address for the item to be shipped out if you win one. Instead you can negotiate with us for PPT/Item or you can choose to have it shipped to a friend. The prizes for this month have been finalized and are currently in production and should be done before the end of the month, next month's prize is in the design selection stage.


8 more days til the contests end, there are some really interesting ideas put forth so far, we're glad you're having fun with it. (Writing contest isn't doing too hot though in terms of submissions, so we might replace that one in future). Don't hold back on us ;)

I know I mentioned above I'd keep these news posts formal, but just this once I'm letting the professional mask drop, I'd like to take this chance to reach out and thank the players and staff(you know whom you are) who went out of their way to show concern over my well being with regards to the events that happened. I would probably have cracked under the negativity, had it not been for your kindness, understanding and support over the last few days. Keep being you, I am incredibly blessed and lucky to know and be surrounded by people like you all. <3

That quality of life update for the fertilizers and the seeds was definitely much needed, It is nice being able to fertilize and plant all 8 slots in one selection.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. XD I was wondering when or if anyone was going to notice if I kept quiet to be honest. But no one said a peep, so I figured I better announce it anyway.

Sorry, we'd like to respect their wishes and let bygones be bygones and keep it private. I hope for your understanding in that regard.

Now that I'm done with my exams I can try my hand at designing and writing, can't wait to see what we'll get out of these contests :D

In regards to the controversy I am glad that it is being addressed and not swept under the rug, transparency is a valuable asset that is not often met on other play websites anymore.

Yup, that's the idea! I just heard the rough sketch of the song we got for the game, I think you guys will love it! Composer went a little above and beyond what I had expected in terms of song length. I've tossed it up on patreon for those who happen to be supporting us there so that they can follow the development process of whats to come.
