Honestly depends on if I have a lot of eggs or not. If I dont have a whole lot, I focus on hoarding and the pixpet adventure until I have more.
By a whole lot, I mean enough to fill all the pixpet slots I have, minus the one adventure pixpet-

I thought you meant hoarding items or eggs for a sec. I focus on hoardings, I have a lot of vivid eggs in the adventure inventory, just not enough space to get them all out and the expansions are expensive so it's going to have be a long time later until I focus on egg hatching again.

I tend to sell eggs then hatching, you would be surprised how much can be made from farming the first pixpets catching event . I will only hatch eggs when new pixpets are released, as for hoards I will only send pixpets out to collect event items or pixpals.
