Every time I try to use a purple wealth potion on my Troffinch it says it cannot be done because it isn’t the same colour. However the Troffinch is 18% purple. Does it have to match the highest % of colour? (If so, it should be worded more clearly ): )

The 18% purple means your Troffinch had an 18% chance of hatching as the purple color group. However, your Sherbert ended up being in the blue color group. Each pet can only have one color group, the probability of which is determined by the percentages seen in the Pixdex. Sherbert, therefore, can only have blue potions, and will only bring back blue items. If you evolve her, her color group will change to one of those of her new evolution, and if you devolve her back to Troffinch, she has a chance of having a different color group again. Does that make sense?
