We’d like to start off this post by introducing the Pixpals!

Think of them as tiny friends for your Pixpets. Those odd stones the research team found in the mines contained some pretty strong magical energy stored within. We’re in the process of learning how to help these little critters materialize from the stones.


One of our our code monkey’s is hard at work, toiling away to create and implement the Pixpal Dex so that they’ll be able to meet you soon.
(We figure we’ll give you completionists a run for your money trying to discover all of them, so until you discover a pixpal and its corresponding colour, it will not appear in your dex.)

As mentioned prior, these little guys will follow the one pixpet that they’re paired with. We are working to setup a system for you to meet, interact and play with them in user profiles.


At this point in time, we are hoping to unleash the Pixpals sometime in the middle of Febuary. (if we are able to release them earlier, we will do so, but for now we’re looking at a mid Feb release barring no hiccups.)

This is ‘Duel in the Desert’, currently we’re in the process of pixelizing the artwork required for the game before passing them to code monkey. For this, we are looking at a mid to late Feb release give or take.

You might remember a shadow, long lost to time. But no longer, as you will find the little tyke starting on hoards today. (We’re gonna go ahead and remove the pixpet goal thing on Patreon in favor of other perks. However, more on that at a later date.)

Last for today’s announcement, but certainly not least, we will hereby be launching MONTHLY CONTESTS. (Or at least, that’s the plan depending on how these go.) One of you eagle-eyed readers was right and we are indeed working with a plushie maker to create some limited patches for the contests.


It is a pity we cannot go with plushies at this time due to cost and shipping constraints due to covid-19. It’s something we’d love to do in the future.


We have chosen to go with Drax for the first patch, it being the first pixpet in the dex. ;) The brown blue patch you saw, was a fake out (or was it?) It’s been an interesting process to say the least
with picking out the right cloth, fabrics and thread to work with.

There are THREE contests for a total of 9 winners.

I'm really glad that Pixpet did not remain a shadow, it looks great!

For the moment the pixpals have no involvement with adventure in its current state (though I'm not discrediting their appearance in newer quests). It's okay, you can smell the roses abit after I finish editing the current batch of quests and implementing them. Currently, pixpals are planned for decorative/site mechanics (beginning with interaction as mentioned prior). Not a bad idea for buffs though down the line, probably something we can revisit after current plans for the next few months have been executed. Thank you for the suggestion.

Regarding contests, for now, the current plan is monthly(at the end of the day, this being the 'trial run', if we need to step back and turn it into bi-monthly or delay, we will certainly do so. Had to leap off the deep end to trial user interest and such first hehe.) Thank you kindly for the concern. <3

Regarding your last point. Huh, everyone keeps saying cherche go sleep, what's that?
