alright! I present to you one of my favorite text games to play (and despite the long-winded name the rules are quite simple)



and finally to start us off (not following rule one cuz I'm not replying lol)



"oh, hello Jen! iv not seen you in a while, what is it that you've gotten up to lately?" asked Kyle

he responded "oh well you know, not much, the same-old, same-old. the only really interesting thing that's happened is I've gotten a new car. other than that iv just been working my 9-5 over in the 5th dimension. the cars gotta lovely plush interior by the way!" after Kyle finished yapping a nearby building began serenely floating into the stratosphere.

Kyle didn’t seem too fazed by it. “Oh yeah, that happens all the time. What did you do while at summer camp?”

“Normalize anomalies such as this. It’s honestly not that big of a deal.” Kyle’s voice, for whatever reason, sounds…different. More formal, with a slight British accent.

@pio (OOC: what do we do if two people respond as Kyle accidentally? Like, didn't see or know that somebody else was making a post at the same time.)

Kyle leaned in close and conspiratorial and whispered in a voice slipping across multiple British accents and tones as if somebody twisted a dial or two changing the setting of his voice. "If I'm being honest -" He cleared his throat, thumped his chest with his fist, and twisted a dial hidden in his adam's apple. "Sorry, system's got loose somehow. Should be sorted now, at least my voice is." He still has a British accent, but manages to keep it from wavering all over the place. "As I was trying to say, while you were gone these anomalies you're just now noticing started while you were away, so I've gotten a chance to get used to them, exploit them even. How do you think I got a brand new car with a plush interior on my nine-to-five salary? Eh?"

OOC: You posted for both Jen and Kyle, so which am I supposed to respond as?

Jen frowned. "Are you the one who's causing the anomalies, Kyle? And what was that, some kind of threat? What are you doing?"

Jen backed away, her mind racing. Her thoughts turned to the absurd, but a building rising into the air and turning into a duck momentarily was already absurd so surely the rules of reality must have changed around her. The warm, welcoming Friends at the Cult of Summers were so far away now. Jen bent and put her fingers to the asphalt, willing it to be soft as a foam sheet. It was, when she willed it so, but she couldn't cut through the hard foam with her fingertips so she found a pothole, lifted, and ripped it up. The asphalt bent easily and was just a bit heavy. It felt like a dream, but it also felt like crumbling clay or drying dough, something real under her hands. Surreal.

"What underlings, Kyle? The street is vacant! It's just you, me, and the omniscient-non-corporeal entity." With that, she slipped under the length of street she'd lifted like a blanket of dough and found a tunnel with walls like graph paper.

Jen yelled anima style "oNlY MY MoTHER CALLS ME JENNIFERRRRR!!!!!" letting forth a beam of pure concentrated holy rage that riped through the shadowy figures and found its mark on kyle. the beam blasted him backward thru the tunnel out the concrete and landed him on top of his new car, resulting in a small scratch in the otherwise pristine yellow paint... a single tear rolls down kyles cheek as he realizes that perhaps Jen was right and the price of reality-bending was too high......
